it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it. I wish there were more volumes so I can get a real feel on what I am reading.
It follows the story of a new witch who was put in the protect of the magic school ran by Paige. However the book of magic at the school was trying to tell Paige something and she couldn't figure it out. With help of her students, Piper, Phoebe, Leo, and other folks they were able to figure it out. And as always, they were able to assess and come up with a plan to defeat evil.

"In through the nose, out through the mouth."

What a fantastic book that has so much punch with so little words. I wish there were more books written like this. Sometimes brevity mixed in with artistic liberty can be so impactful. The way the Jasons' discussed family dynamics, racial issues, police brutality, and living in COVID 19 (and it's variants) times was beautifully done. I kept wondering why moms' couldn't change the channel? I thought that even if the channel was changed, you still couldn't escape what was happening in the world. I too felt like the sister who wanted to break free. But break free to what? I find myself confused and frustrated with what freedom is and how to manifest it given the world we live in today. I will have to re-read this book and hold this book dear to me for decades to come.

I enjoyed this comic! This comic was diverse in character and I loved that on of the protagonist can travel to universe to universe. It’s unfortunate the events that happened to the siblings throughout the book. I was praying for stability in their lives. But I was glad that everyone they met wasn’t mischievous.

Something about this book. I enjoyed. The pace, the suspense, and the twists was done well. More review is coming soon.

DID NOT FINISH: 74%

… I am not going to share a authors work. This book wasn’t for me. I wanted more suspense and I got a play by play of what’s it like being in a struggling marriage and the hardships of being a author.

Ya know! This series continues to get more and more sad! That’s damn count Olaf is doing almost anything and killing whomever to get these kids fortune. Shame on him. I’m ready to catch this character in these fictional streets and do a one on one match with him.

I liked this one a little bit more than the first one because of the steadfast behavior of Count Olaf. That man was persistent and I was unsure if he would appear again in the story so soon. But I think his character really lends itself to the unfortunate events. Above all, he is THE unfortunate event. Every time I think that he will get caught and punished for his devious acts, something saves him. I don't think he will rest until he gets what he wants. His greed his bigger than life itself.

These kids are super smart ad determine to not let Count Olaf get away with his shenanigans. I was sadden by the constant loss that the children had to face but as they say "children are more resilient" than we adults think they are. Or maybe I am trying to hope for the best like I hope for best with Hazel in the Saga series.

I want to keep going. I am hooked in the story. I am going to try to watch the Netflix adaptation after reading this series.

Again, my younger self would have loved these books. Don't worry younger self, older/adult self got you! Book three here we come!

I enjoyed this read for book one. I am excited to see how Claus, Sunny, and Violet will grow. I enjoyed Violet tenacity of sticking up for her younger siblings. I wish her parents didn't leave so much responsibility in her hands. I also wish they didn't say that their guardian needed to be a blood relative but I understand it. I enjoyed Justice character. The count deserved every bit of nastiness in the world but I wonder when will his character return because greed is a powerful thing.

It is sooooo great to jump back into this world again. I loving this and looking for any charmed comic books that I can find.
