I can see why so many people love this book, but it's not my style. I wasn't very invested in the narrator, however, I did like the writing and it is a memorable book.

I don't really know why I'm even reading this. I don't care about the series. The world is interesting and the writing is very good and martin is clearly talented but I really don't care about any of nor do I like it.
Also, how did I read 800 pages in so few days when I have exams???? Stubbornness is a virtue I guess.

I thought the thing with the temperature was very unique and created some nice tension. The writing was ok, but this definitely is not my taste in book. Am super interested in checking out Stiefvater's other books. I already have a copy of The Scorpio Races ready. Her ingenuity has me intrigued.

Stiefvater has an amazing imagination! This book felt so unique and original.
At first, I was a bit skeptical that the concept of a horse race could be very interesting. A magical one, maybe, but as I started reading it became apparent there isn't a lot of magic, so I was back to being skeptical. But as the book progressed, and we learnt more about the protagonists, the tension grew and I found I was no longer certain who would win, but knew I desperately wanted both characters to win.
The race itself was well written, exciting, and with amazing pacing. I was surprised. She kept the tension the entire time and I was living for it.
I'm not s huge fan of some of her characters, especially Puck, but other than that, this is a very solid read which I would highly recommend.

This book was decent. It is long, and some parts are more boring than others. After a while, it does start to feel aimless.
Overall, I enjoyed the trials and tribulations, as well as the characters, and the language used. The writing style is definitely excessive by today's standard, but I do feel like people overexaggerate Dicken's description. It's much more than you'll find in any modern novel, but it creates tremendous scenes that are lively and vivid. It takes still to list information in this way and I appreciate that.
This book is a product of ti's time, and there were some characters, scenes, and the like that rubbed me the wrong way because of this. It was frustrating at times, but not terrible.
Solid book and would recommend it to people who enjoy a long read and classics.

It was okay, the beginning felt like it dragged a bit but it gets interesting the further you get. I think it's a unique way to look at Shakespeare's life.
The writing was good, but I didn't like the story. This doesn't feel like a stand a lone; I felt like I'd been thrown into the middle of a series which made it even harder to keel all the characters straight.
I love the author but the plot, which was probably dictated to her, felt flat and overdone and predictable. I do like book Carol more then movie Carol.
I think it is now safe to assume marvel novels aren't for me. I standing on 1/5 that I thoroughly enjoyed.
