this was different than i expected it to be, in a good way, but i didnt love the third act conflict or how things ended with her family. i thought what happened to oz in the last chapter was perfect tho! i will prob read more from this author, but probably not the next one in this series bc i dont like villain mmcs usually or the memory loss trope

most of talia hibbert’s books are marketed as funny, but this is the one that made me laugh out loud the most. it was just so sweet. she should write more like this!!!

this was very sweet and emotional, and i especially liked the latter half. phoebe’s self-discovery was really special; i wish there was another chapter or two at the end. also, i dont know quite how to explain it, but some of the writing, especially at the beginning, was not my favorite. i cant WAIT for phin & caro’s book though!!!!!!!!

i didnt love the writing in the beginning, which may just be due to the translation, but by the end i thought it was really sweet! a great adventurous, low angst read about growing up and finding yourself <3

i liked hassen and maddie! it was hard for me to forgive hassen for literal kidnapping tho. 

i learned a good amount about garfield, but i thought the end focused too much on his assassin instead of his legacy
