A good overview of Hayes' life! There were a few times wherein the author was too complimentary, like his refusal to acknowledge that Hayes had anything to do whatsoever with the fraudulent election and his glossing over of Hayes' friendship with some ex-confederates. I'm glad I read this; I learned a good amount!

this was good, but i would have liked for it to be longer so i could get more attached to the characters. they were good characters, but i wanted to get to know them better. 

this was so fun! I really enjoyed it! it was a pretty slow burn, but the romance is fantastic! the end was a little fast, and I would have loved to have seen an extra scene or two

like maybe a spicy scene between mates

also, random, but I would have loved a moment of sikthand seeing Sophia get a tattoo and being like "wow she's so strong and cool". overall a good read. Victoria Adeline does it again! and I loved the friendship between alno and Sophia, and I loved alno's romance!!!

this could have used one more pass through editing but it was sooooo sweet and fun. sometimes hallie gave the vibe of being embarrassed about being a virgin tho, which i didnt like

had to read for class. it was just whatever. no strong feelings on it. just a plain, boring history text (even though there are plenty of exciting historical texts! this is just not one of them)

there was a lot going on during some points, but i liked the main story and the writing.
