I love this book every time. It's simple, it's exciting, and it's comfort food.

I read this as part of OverDrive's Big Library Read event. It was very fast paced and definitely sucked me in, I'm not sure either character really left too enlightened though. I would have liked a continuation showing the aftermath of the night's events.

This book really surprised me; my library was promoting the eBook so I gave it a shot and it was SO worth it. I loved the story and the romance and the idea of the balloons, but did NOT like the cliffhanger ending. Book 2 came out this month so I'm moving it to the top of my list.

Pretty much what I expected, a cowboy romance following the storyline of Pride & Prejudice.

I read this for the "An Ebook" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I really enjoyed it, much more than I expected to. It was serious, and funny, and I liked their farm animal trials. The recipes included in each chapter look worth trying as well.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. I loved every minute of it. I was laughing out loud at my desk and I never knew what was coming next. It was absolutely my sense of humor, it was witty and creative and original and clever. My favorite part was Modesty talking about her sister's cooking mishaps. "Why are the chocolate chips green? Because they're peas" and "Why is your cat starting at the fridge? Because she made icecream yesterday and that cat loves anything with fish in it" were the highlights. Some parts in the middle felt a little slow, but there was always something new about to happen to liven things up. I would definitely seek out more books by Henry Clark. This also fulfills the "A Strong Friendship Theme" part of my 2020 reading challenge.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. I have never read anything by Mimi Matthews before, and I was blown away. I read the entire book in a Sunday afternoon and it felt like comfort food. It may have been a bit predictable, but it was warm and inviting and the romance was sweet and just what I had hoped for. I have not read the other books in this series, and while they are also probably enjoyable, this read just fine as a stand-alone. The characters didn’t blur together like I’ve found jumping into other series, they stood out just fine on their own. Overall, it was lovely.

I received this book from LibraryThing in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. This was not my cup of tea. It had a lot of potential and I liked the idea, but I did not like the story. I found everything really harsh, from the graphic scenes to the characters themselves. I found some of them a bit unecessary and the plot didn't always make sense to me. I don't regret giving it a chance, it just didn't end up being my thing. This did fit the "Title Beginning With A" part of my 2020 reading challenge though.

I read this for the "Written by More Than One Author" part of my 2020 reading challenge. This was really well done, a collection of short stories each featuring a different Doctor, by a different author. The stories were all well written and felt like they could easily become an episode.

I received this book from LibraryThing in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. I loved this. It was a really touching story of a young girl who was bullied for her interests, and with the support of other scientists, persevered. Sophia seems like the kind of girl that many other children will be able to relate to and draw support from. I love the idea of the #BugsR4Girls community and encouraging #WomenInScience. The artwork was also beautiful and I especially liked all the watercolor plants. Kerascoët also illustrated Malala's Magic Pencil, which is also a fantastic book. The last few pages of this book are filled with bug facts that are well presented and laid out for any age of reader. Definitely a hit and a great addition to any library. I am also able to use it for the "Written by More Than One Author" part of my 2020 reading challenge.
