I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. I have never read anything by Mimi Matthews before, and I was blown away. I read the entire book in a Sunday afternoon and it felt like comfort food. It may have been a bit predictable, but it was warm and inviting and the romance was sweet and just what I had hoped for. I have not read the other books in this series, and while they are also probably enjoyable, this read just fine as a stand-alone. The characters didn’t blur together like I’ve found jumping into other series, they stood out just fine on their own. Overall, it was lovely.
