A weird little story about a girl who names her scab Pepper and the adventures they have together. 

Martha Ballard is a midwife living in Hallowell, Maine (then Massachusetts) in 1789. It's a snowy winter, and a dead body has just shown up in the Kennebec. She provides testimony that she thinks he was murdered, and a doctor challenges that instead it was a suicide. A story of life in Maine during that period and a mystery about what happened with the body follows. Excellent in all regards.

Iris and Roman are rival journalists in a fantasy world where gods are at war. No one has quite seen exactly what is causing the situation, but people are dying as a result. The war scenes are inspired by World War I, and the gods are well-drawn. It ends on a cliffhanger, and thankfully this is only a duology.

A bilingual take on Little Red Riding Hood that ends happily. 

This is about a Grandmother who likes everything in its place, who learns the importance of letting go sometime, especially with the help of a friend. 

A long story, but one that emphasizes the importance of kindness in kindergarten (and beyond).

A funny animal noise book.
