After this and "We Are Not Free," I'm wondering if I have a new favorite genre, which would be books where each chapter is from a different perspective and yet tell a cohesive story. I loved this one, which moved in and out of time and yet I felt like I understood the story by the end. Very impressive. Loved it.
Loos led an interesting life, but I needed a glossary for the old Hollywood names. Additionally, there are parts that feel racist by today's standards, so just a heads up. Little side comments about people.
Abby does one of those DNA tests and discovers shocking information--she has a full-blooded older sister she has never met! How did that happen? This is a cute contemporary with a mystery, summer camp, and a little bit of romance.

I liked this one, but I didn't love it. I found it a little hard to get into. I appreciated the normalizing of pronouns, but that combined with names for all the characters at the beginning had me a little bogged down. I also felt like I didn't get a lot of feel for the humans right away. Once they started actually doing missions, I felt more pulled into the story. I still think there are a few humans I don't know a lot about, and I did feel like I barely got to know some of the aliens. The plot is interesting and I look forward to a sequel.
This book was actually much more about sports media than I thought it would be. I actually thought it would be more about women's sports like the WNBA or the NWSL. That doesn't make this book bad. In fact, it was eye-opening in the way that it made me realize that I hadn't realized just how many male voices I've heard in sportscasting. I'm also never going on Barstool Sports if I can help it. That site now seems very scary.
