I had no idea how the Paralympic Games came about, so this story was quite interesting to me. I think it's excellently written for it's audience: just enough information but not enough to bog them down. I also think it's a really good reminder for me, because I think it's very easy for me (and lots of society) to forget what it's like for those who are paraplegic or have other circumstances that make things difficult for them due to their body make-up.

If Kristin Cashore writes something, sign me up to read it. I love this Graceling world so, so, much. I didn't re-read the series prior to reading this one because I wanted to see if it made sense if you haven't read the first three. I think it does, although you definitely would get a deeper understanding from reading the prior books. I loved learning about a new land and what its rules and lore are. It took me a while to like the character Lovisa. As you learn about her life, you understand how she got to be the way she is.

Also, I wish we had the preventative tea in the real world.

Please give me all the picture books about overlooked scientists thank you. I loved this one about Vera Rubin, who kept going despite so many people telling her she couldn't. As a result, we know dark matter exists. Thanks, Vera Rubin.

This is a great one for baby storytimes. So sweet.

A sweet story about a family walking through the night in order to see a beautiful sunrise. It describes all the things they see in the dark.

Honestly, I'm not a bird watcher, but there are so many great picture books out there for budding bird watchers. This is just one of them.

I want to reread this one. When I read the first time around, I didn't care for it overly much. Now I'm wondering if I was too quick, too cursory.

I really liked this one. It was super cute and I thought accurately described how toddlers act.

Oh, my heart. This book is so good, about such hard topics, but absolutely a must have for all libraries. Someone like Della or Suki is in your community, your classroom, your library.
