I listened to the audiobook of this and listened at 2.8 speed and for a solid hour towards the end this dragged so much that this went from a 4.5 or 5 to a 3.5. It just ruined my enjoyment so much that I can’t look past it. And I honestly don’t know if I would of finished the book had I read it physically.

I took forever to read this purely because I have a hard time focusing on things but this was amazing. This is one of the select few books I’ve read that has made me cry while reading the book. I honestly don’t know what to say about this beyond that it’s a new favourite and I’m immediately picking up the sequel.

If you loved Jack from the Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire you’ll probably like this book.
