This kept reminding me of the Doctor Who episode Voyage of the Damned and Alien which going in knowing nothing expect that this was supposed to be spooky probably helped me a lot. I personally wouldn’t call this terrifying or recommend for those who are looking to be terrified but it’s a great book that I wouldn’t mind reading again.
I thought the first book was just okay and went into this one trying to see if I would care enough about this one to want to keep the first book. And I obviously did not care enough considering after a one day break from the audiobook I have no interest in continuing even though it’s just started to ramp up.

The chapters were fast but it was so slow. I was bored and had I not been listening to the audiobook at 3x speed I would of DNF’ed. I kept reading because I was slightly intrigued but that ending took this from 3 stars to 2.5 stars. I know it ended like that because there’s going to be a sequel but this did not need a sequel.
