One of the best horror books I’ve read. The atmosphere was amazing and the suspense perfection. This is one of those books where I believe it’s good to go in blind.
That being said at times it did remind me of The Shining (still haven’t read the book…) and Devolution by Max Brooks mostly in terms of atmosphere.
Might bump up my rating to a five star upon a re-read or time away from the book.

I love these characters and I love Heartstopper but I didn’t love this volume as much as I thought I would. I’m hoping the ending will be spectacular as this was a little lackluster personally.
This is purely based on enjoyment this volume brought me I didn’t hate or dislike anything in this it just didn’t give me the usual feelings I get from Heartstopper. Loved the convos that happens it just wasn’t enough.
Volume 5 and volume 6 should of been one volume.
This might end up being one of my biggest disappointments of the year.

This was cute and had some swoon worthy quotes. I haven’t played Chess in over a decade as I get bored playing with myself and I don’t have anyone that is interested in playing and this made me miss Chess so much.
This isn’t an absolute favourite of mine but I still really enjoyed it and can see myself re-reading it in the future.

The woman in this 100% were written to make you annoyed and pissed off they were just so idiotic. I can’t tell you how many times I rolled my eyes at scenes with them. This could have been better if we actually explored the area instead of lingering in what was supposed to be suspense waiting for the inevitable.

I think snobby rich people even in books are just not my thing. Okay, Matthew grew on me by chapter twenty-one. If you want a queer book that’s like a Christmas Hallmark movie this fits that bill. The mental health talk was great and you definitely learn why Matthew was the way he was. The fact that he plans events to calm his anxiety is personally so relatable because while I don’t plan events in those times I do design possible future homes, make lists with the items I imagine in them, and make list for almost anything instead. There’s also some good quotes in this.
I wasn’t bothered by this but I know others might be Hector (li) calls Matthew dude so many times so beware of that. I do think this could have been shorter but at the same time it wasn’t like dragging to the point where things absolutely needed to be cut. Also, the parents but specifically the mother in this just no. And lastly I would like to admit that until I got to chapter twenty one I was constantly thinking about DNF’ing this.
