I’m disappointed that I didn’t like this more. I enjoyed this and I definitely will recommend it but it feels like somethings missing. I just wanted more from this.

Until the 30% mark I was dragging myself through this which to be fair happened with Eragon as well. I honestly thought I was going to end up in a reading slump from it. Well, my interest dwindled somewhere between the 40-45% mark. This definitely suffers from middle book syndrome. Gained interest again sometime between the 70-80% mark. I honestly can’t rate this any higher  because of how much of a struggle it was to get me to care to even continue this.

The spells are ridiculous but I enjoyed everything else.

If you want to read about the World Fair this is the book for you but if you go into this book for Henry H. Holmes you’re going to be disappointed. This isn’t a bad book but I went in thinking it would heavily focus on Holmes’ murders and his hotel. Instead Holmes just comes off as extra content for the book until the end.

This is one of the few books where after I finished reading it my brain goes blank when I try to think of a review to write. Vibes were great and I liked the queerness.

I liked the NASA angle to this but I was kind of hoping for more of it. I was interested in the characters but I never fell in love with them.
