I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would.

Thank you to the publisher for the eArc.

A short and sweet book about how to not judge people who are grumpy.

This wasn’t bad but it could have been better. I don’t think I’m going to ever look back on this book fondly or want to re-read it. I enjoyed certain aspects of this book but I would rather read other books that include them than keep this book.

P.s. never thought I would use a .25 for a rating as I didn’t see the point in using it until now.
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I didn’t think I’d enjoy this as much as I did. Snow still sucks but I will admit at times this did make me like him.

The Paleontologist

Luke Dumas

DID NOT FINISH: 8%

The writing was too dull and I didn’t care about the character at all. Went into this because my dream job was to be a palaeontologist and who doesn’t love a horror novel but I was already bored with this and other reviews didn’t make me feel like I’d really miss anything.
lighthearted
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

A cute romcom but not one of my favourites.
Loveable characters: Yes

This was a great time and I can’t wait for the sequel.

This wasn’t bad I was just expecting more horror elements and more focus on the cannibalism. And I would have liked to have had another chapter as it felt a little rushed at the end.

This should have worked for me but it just didn’t. I think it falls down to the fact that I didn’t care for the characters. And the little brief moments we get of the mothers talking about them is a little off putting.

I’m starting to think maybe cozy fantasy isn’t for me. I was honestly just waiting for it to end as I really didn’t care after maybe 30% of the way in.
