In theory this should have absolutely worked for me. I love post apocalyptic and cult stories and I mean it’s queer. But, it just didn’t. The idea of the book I love but I just kept holding out hoping for more. I don’t know maybe if this was longer I would have enjoyed it more. I also didn’t care for any of the characters which definitely didn’t help either.

Big tw for transphobia btw.

Went in hoping I would love this because it’s a satire taken on gothic books. And that didn’t happen. It honestly felt like two different books in one. I still plan to read more Jane Austen but this wasn’t the best first introduction.

Read this because of Gavin Reads It All. This one had some cute moments and was not what I was expecting for this volume.
I’m glad that the uncle was killed though. 🤮

Read this because of Gavin Reads It All. And I will say it was quite amusing. But, it’s not something that I’ll be buying a physical copy of or re-reading in the future.

Felt very meh about this. But, I can definitely see why people would have problems with this as well.

This isn’t bad but it felt very meh. If this had been longer I probably would have liked it more.

I’m invested if I didn’t already max out my hoopla borrows for the month I would be reading the next two volumes right now. That being said not a four star because of the ending. Like sure okay some of what happened I would just be like okay but the unnecessary
imagining of SA isn’t it.

Went in pretty blind with only hearing one person liking this book and one not. And here I am annoyed that I read this before the second book was even announced. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Leovander and Sebastian.

Started this book because it was short and was on the verge of tears nearly the entire time. 100% recommend I just don’t know if I’ll revisit this in the future.

I enjoyed this but I think I would have loved it had it been a full length novel. I honestly don’t know what else to say beyond this. It intrigued me but I honestly don’t know if I’ll continue with this series. I feel like I’ll enjoy parts but be let down again by the shortness.
