I adored the Beanie webcomics so when I heard that she was making a book filled with her adorable, relatable illustrations - I knew I had to read it. And I was not disappointed! Heart warming and hilarious, Beanie's adventures will make you feel fuzzy inside and bring a smile to your face.
So endearing and much needed in the world today when things are still looking a little bleak - the perfect pick me up.

This book, my heart, that cliffhanger.
I adored The Prison Healer and so couldn't wait to dive back into their world, and I was not disappointed.
Twists and turns, secrets around every corner and more of the budding romance whilst still not making it a main focus. I couldn't put this book down, it was magnificent.
The third one is too far away and I need it now!

4.5 stars.
Trigger warnings for - assault, sexual assault, torture, general gore, drug abuse, child abuse.
If you're looking for a book that makes you feel safe and comfortable, don't pick up a Kristoff solo book. They aren't here to make you feel good, they're just here to make you feel.
Dark, action packed and filled to the brim with dry wit and sarcasm this story is perfect for someone looking for a new vampire hit to add to to their collection. It brings in new and interesting lore that will herald a change in the way we think of vampires on the whole. I enjoyed the character development throughout, the twists and turns as well as the general banter.
The reason this didn't get a full 5 stars for me is that I would have preferred linear story telling, rather than back and forth. Whilst I appreciate there is a reason to it, I'm just built like the historian taking the tale - always wanting order. I also felt that there was a slight lack surrounding Astrid, I really wanted more scenes involving her so that there was more emotion as the story played out. If I didn't know that Jay could write complex and interesting female characters so well, I would have been niggled less by it. But I did want more.
I still greatly enjoyed the book, it met my dark souls needs, but most of Jay's books have left me sobbing, and this one only made me shed a few solitary tears. I came to have my heart destroyed - let's hope the sequel does just that.

I was sent an eARC of this graphic novel through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I adored this spooky graphic novel so much, it's perfect for the Halloween season. It gives us ghosts and ghouls and demons as well as great characters. I couldn't put it down and the artwork is fantastic!

Trigger warning for anyone who suffers from entomophobia (the fear of insects).
A cat and mouse mystery that takes the reader on a journey through 1920's Shanghai and it's dark underground gangs. Although this story is inspired by Romeo and Juliet it definitely holds it's own and sets itself apart from the original material.
It is very much centred on the mystery of a sickness that is killing the local population and the two heirs to rival gangs searching for answers, rather than being centred on the love story aspect, which I appreciated.
I did want a little more from the characters though, the focus was mainly given to the twists and turns rather than the character's and I wanted to feel a little more for them. The more interesting characters weren't the main characters.
Perfect for those who love dark and gritty female characters and remorseful broody male characters. I look forward to the sequel and seeing how it will all end.

Dark, sultry and filled with mystery - I could not put this book down.
I adored the Kingdom Of The Wicked and I am so glad that it's sequel didn't disappoint. That ending truly has me desperate for more and I will hate waiting.
If you are a fan of stories that twist and turn, have riddles that need to be solved, strong female characters, brooding male characters and steamy scenes that leave you yearning for more - then this series could just be for you.

I received an eARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, I'd like to say a huge thank you to Rena and her publishing team for selecting me to be one of the early readers.
Maya returns in this action packed sequel with Eli and Frankie by her side to save the day. New characters are introduced that really compliment the dynamics of the group and I cannot wait to see how it will all play out in the next book.
I greatly enjoy Rena's storytelling and the way that she weaves words to paint these rich, varying worlds and their inhabitants. She brings so many different aspects and melds them beautifully together.
For those who love dark, twisting, adventure driven middle grade books that are steeped deep in mythology and magic - this is definitely for you.

I appreciate that the writing style for this series gets better as the books go on. This one was filled with so much emotion and twists and turns. I'm glad I got back into the series and look forward to completing it.

The writing and plot is greatly improved in this one. I adored the twists and turns, all the plotting and scheming. The wit and adventure. That ending was everything, cannot wait to see how it all ends.

Dark, witty and emotional.
I really loved this sequel. I greatly enjoyed the character development and the interaction between all the characters. The storyline was fantastic and really brought together so many things left from the first book but that cliffhanger - I cannot wait for the final installment.
