This was such a twisted book! I absolutely loved learning more about Charlie and the art was phenomenal.

This finale in a series that I've absolutely loved for years was fantastic! It may be my favorite Joe Ledger to date. The plot was creepy and twisted, and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire ride.

One of my criticisms usually is that there's some slow parts to these books that drag a bit. Not here. Not this time. The pacing was at 1,000 from the very beginning and just kept going higher at every page.

I cannot wait to see where these characters go from here and what other fucked up shenanigans they get into.

This was pretty much adult Twilight. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, maybe try the series.

Unfortunately, this wasn't an enjoyable read for me and the only reason I finished is because I refused to DNF my first read (second completed book) of 2019.

I'm marginally invested in the plot and will be looking for a summary for Book 2 but will not be spending anymore time than necessary in this world.

No. No. No. No. No. Nope. Nope. Nope. Hell no. Hell no. Are you fucking kidding me?!?

Seriously, the fuck was this? Making me laugh and smile and then just gutting me.

Cool cool cool.

I'm intrigued. Review tomorrow.

I'm going to start doing my best on sharing rep, so this has a F/F budding relationship.

This volume was a fun, magically adventurous ride filled with friendships that I wish I had growing up. And I really enjoyed every moment. These characters are quirky and rebellious and just fun to follow.

The adventures that they go on are exciting and mysterious, and I cannot wait to read more. Absolutely kicking myself for not getting the second volume, but I'm trying to be more careful with what I buy this year and not buying entire series before I know if I like them or not.

I don't think I'll have a problem here because I can't see this going somewhere boring and lame and blah.

If I had reviewed this when I first read it (around 2001), this would have been 5 stars. I loved this series in HS.

But, I'm 31 now and can see its faults. It still a good first book, and I'm excited to see what I think of the rest of the series.

It was a fun time, traveling back to EverWorld after all these years and hang out with these cool cats from Chicago.

I kinda wish I read this BEFORE The Wicked King, but I think it still held up well. I definitely appreciated reading the why behind Taryn's actions in The Cruel Prince (even if it just proved her vapidness and wholly unnecessary-ness).

Still a garbage of a character that's one boring broad. But hey, at least I saw exactly how boring here.

Right?
