RTC. Had to knock off a star for taking a bit to get into...but once the story got going, if went...and went and went.

I absolutely this. Laura’s character is still who we're following, which I enjoy immensely, and the other gods are getting more screen time. Love!
Certain mysteries are beginning to reveal but that's leading to even more questions. This story is complex in terms of character dynamics and plot. Definitely looking forward to how this all unfolds!

I read this while at a street fest so maybe some of the intricacies of the story went over my head...but, I'm going to assume I got the gist of this and review it.
The reader follows Lottie, a super duper famous (and fucking shallow) blogger as she deals with day to day life in extremely melodramatic ways. It's all about her. She's has "friends" who are just as shallow as her, but like her green hair don't care - I just didn't care about any of them.
At all.
So we are stuck following that nonsense for a while, until Lottie meets a super hip stranger (AKA her new best friend foreva). And the story progresses from vapidness to slightly mysterious.
Even when the insane part of the story happen, since I didn't like Lottie, I just didn't care about her "struggles".
At the end of the day, she's an adult who should be doing adult things instead of acting like a teenager. It's just nonsense. I hate when drama seems unnecessary because the MC is too stupid to own up to it, even when the consequences seem dire. They never are.
So, why am I giving this three stars? The ending is good enough to make me want to continue the story. The art, while disgusting, is so fucking awesome, and Lottie became slightly more bearable in the last ten pages as a MC. The rest of the secondary characters are shit though.

Re-reading this series, because I'm finally going to finish! It's only been 6 years, lol. This volume was just as great as I remembered! Things are coming together but of course the main mystery is still super mysterious! I've got so many questions every time I read this. But I know it'll all be answered (I hope).

It's not over.
Two years ago, I started this adventure. I still love this series so very much.

Without giving away any spoilers, because at 5 volumes in, anything I write will pretty much spoil parts of the storyline, I'll just say...WTF and oh the feels.
One of my favorite characters is gone...or is she?
I cannot wait until volume #6.
The art is still spectacular, the writing is still awesome, and I'm still very much interested in where this story is going, meeting all of the gods, and seeing where Laura's journey will take her next.
Really loving this comic.

Things are coming together! The arc plus 1923 AD really put a lot in place for me! I know 6 volumes in, I expected to know more, but I love how much the pantheon and the gods are shrouded in mysteries on top of mysteries. It makes for such an exciting story!!

I could really use an Inanna hug.

Oh, The Wicked + The Divine has just been a treasure for me to have discovered. I’m happy that I’ve found it as early as I did, because I love following this story every month.
#6 was, once again, really well written and the art is still phenomenal. I don't know if this consistency is normal in most comics, but I'm extremely happy that it is here.
The story itself felt more like a build-up to where the story will be going, but I thought there was still so much intrigue and the feels when Laura meets Inanna at the cemetery was just magnificent, and it definitely still held my interest fully.
Also Inanna looks a hell of a lot like Prince, so that's always a win in my book. Always.
I am so stoked for #7, and I can’t wait to continue this story. It's just been awesome.
If you haven't read it yet, the first volume just came out too, so I would definitely recommend picking it up and giving this a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Once again, we return! And holy beejeezus was this a fantastic volume! I had this at a 4 the last times I read it, but the threads tying everything here is incredible, so up to a 5 star it goes! Everything is really building and with one volume left (volume 8 has been read chronologically throughout issue by issue, so I'm not really counting that one), I have no idea how it's going to wrap up!

The Morrigan and Baphomet are good bad company. Fucking loving these rereads.

Patiently waiting for the next issue, because this one was all:

Ahhh, what an amazing finale! Did it wrap up a little too fast, a little conveniently? Maybe, but after 45 issues, plus all the special issues, I'm here one last time with these characters, and this world, and it was such a wonderful ride! This will always be one of my favorite graphic novels. The art stayed perfect through and through and the story kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning to the end.

What the hell was I thinking about disliking any part of this issue? I was young. It's my only excuse.
3/26/15
For the first two-thirds of this issue, I honestly thought I was going to be giving this a 3 or 4 Star rating. A lot of information is in this issue, but it kind of makes for a more boring read. I was intrigued to get some information, but having just read Issue #8, I wanted more of that.
And then this Issue just goes WOAH for me, and I'm in love again. And I'm giving 5 Stars again. And I'm fangirling again.
I definitely think if you've been confused up until this point, Issue #9 really helps develop the story more fully.
Also, I kinda thought I knew who maybe killed Luci, but I'm back to being completely unsure and loving the fact that I have no clue.
Another incredible issue to me, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where this story will go from here, especially to learn more about the gods we haven't seen much of yet, and of what darkness is to come.
Oh exciting things are going to be happening soon.

I loved this little taste of the past. It's left me with some questions that I hope are a glimpse into what's coming beginning Issue 23.
I love these back in time stories. It's interesting to see how similar the current conundrum is.
