I can't stop grinning. The showdown is upon us.
And Persephone is such a fucking badass! She's pure win and has a score to settle.

After watching the TV show, I decided to grab this off my shelf and give the written story a go. And holy shit, I'm so happy I did.
I liked the TV show and thought it was pretty good. But this...this blows that away by far! It's fantastic and makes a lot more sense. Highly recommend this!

Do you like reading mindless magazines? If so, I've got the comic for you!
I got the point of the drivel here but doesn't mean I enjoyed most of it.
At this point, I'm just hoping Issue 5 brings us back to the meat of the story.

Hex Wives (2018-) #2
Ben Blacker, Jenny Frison, Mirka Andolfo, Marissa Louise, Joëlle Jones, Jordie Bellaire, Emanuela Lupacchino
OK, I'm intrigued. For the few pages I had here, I definitely feel I've gotten some damn fine storytelling. It's shifted quite a bit from Issue 1, but I know why and it kept me interested from the first to the last page.
The art is fantastic and helps really bring this story to life.

The story and art is still fantastic, but I rate things two stars when I have a major problem with them.
And I fucking did here with the last couple of pages.
Up until that point, this was a 4 star read. It continues the story along, while not being completely predictable. So, I still recommend the comics if you don't mind fewer pages.
If you love a certain type of domesticated animal, you may through a hissy fit like me in the last page or two.

31 pages my butt. This is the first single issue I've picked up from a non-independent publisher and there so much wasted pages here. It's just filled with promotionals of other stories.
Also edit because damnit! I said I was going to start doing something this year and already forgot. Diversity here! F/F romance/sexy times!
Blech!
That said, I love the dark elements of this and really dug what I got so far. I'm definitely interested in seeing where these witchy ladies go from here and hope there's more gore in my future with this comic!

Really interesting premise, but I didn't feel like anything was explained here. Not even a little bit. The why and what behind this is still pretty much a mystery for me.
Hoping more is explained and shared with the readers in the next book!
