Good stories but the art of the first one distracted me from the writing, which is a bummer. I definitely recommend checking them out though if you're a fan of the main series.
Bitch Planet: Triple Feature #4
Mindy Lee, Marc Deschamps, Valentine De Landro, Sara Woolley, Rossi Gifford, Vita Ayala
The Bodymod story is freaking awesome and disturbing. The other two were a bit boring for me. I still recommend checking them out though if you're a fan of the main series.
Bitch Planet: Triple Feature #5
Valentine De Landro, Jon Tsuei, Eyang Nyambi, Nyambi Nyambi, Bassey Nyambi, Elsa Charretier, Matt Fraction
Easily the best, most on topic feeling issue. All of these stories feel not only relevant in the Bitch Planet universe but in our times as well. I definitely recommend checking them out though if you're a fan of the main series.
21st Century Tank Girl #1
Philip Bond, Alan C. Martin, Jim Mahfood, Brett Parsons, Craig Knowles, Warwick Johnson-Cadwell, Jonathan Edwards, Jamie Hewlett
rtc.
This was a lot of fun! I met the author at GenCon a couple of years ago and picked up volumes 1 and 2. Of course, being me, and having a wide array of books on my shelves already, I hadn't had a chance to check it out til now.
I really liked it. It's humorous, feminist, and still a tad offensive. I really liked reading about all of the characters adventures, namely into the world of fetish clubs and shitty jobs. And I nodded in complete understanding of Jen's absolute hatred of malls.
She and her roommates (Beth and DJ) work because despite their differences, they've got a lot of similar quirks. They have a fantastic bond formed and their friendship was just a breath of fresh air. I'm not usually one for contemporary stories, but they're sometimes fun to escape into.
I really dug the art style, though I have a feeling that the web comic itself is color even though this was black and white. It didn't take away from anything to me, but the author mentioned that the MC has red hair, and I was just like - cool cool?

RTC tomorrow. Reading as many backed up comics tonight and then I will put words to what I've read!
Another super fun read. I'm definitely going to have to see if this series is ongoing, because I forgot to check to see if Jennie was at Gen Con this year, and I need more of this in my life.
If you want some fun contemporary storytelling about a feminist badass, I recommend.

Another fantastic Maberry! Obviously, I might be a bit biased since I've been a fan of his for years, but I really enjoyed this story. I loved the concept behind these vampires and how society and our cultures would realistically view them, if something like this happened.
It's not good. Could it ever have happened any other way?
I'm absolutely looking forward to the show on Netflix and will definitely be reading more of these stories (especially since I've hear a Mr. Joseph Edwin Ledger makes an appearance).

This is incredibly hard to review because it's not the full work, or even a really understandable abridged version. It's a bit of a mess to be honest, and I'm just happy that I knew the story well enough to follow along.
But just barely.
I don't recommend this, and honestly, if you want a condensed or different version than the original - watch a movie. You'll get more out of it.
The art is incredible though.

Solid nope for the art in this issue. Easily my least favorite of the guest artists so far.
And the backstory of Sakhmet was interesting and mysterious.
But it the cliffhanger that I loved.
