What a wholesome, fun story! I really liked Charlie and Jackson's relationship, though it was such a whirlwind. Everything happened so quickly and that kinda threw me, but then I remembered it was an Audible Original, and that's to be expected.

The shenanigans that ensued in this story made for an absolutely delightful reading experience!  Loved the characters, and their dynamics.  The alternate history Cairo was a fascinating setting, and the magical elements really made it something special.

Wow, what a fantastic collection.  Loved each and every story so much, and I don't think I could pick a favorite.  They're all incredible, important reads.

I'm definitely recommending everyone check this collection out if you're a fan of sci-fi, speculative fiction, or short stories.

I absolutely loved this book so much!  Kacen Callender did an amazing job bringing Louisiana, King, and these characters to life.  This was a gut-wrenching, coming-of-age story.  King's grief was palpable from the very first page, and his turmoil over who he was, was so well done.  Just an incredibly written story.

This is some of the most gory horror I've read. So disturbing, but I liked it and couldn't put it down.  From the very first page, these stories caused such visceral reactions from me. I had chills, I squirmed with discomfort, and at times, was totally grossed out.

Really informative, cute, quick read.  I think this is a great entry into queer identities, and I plan to pick it for my nieces!  Loved the art style and how much care the creators put into this!

These cinnamon rolls are well on their way to being a team!  I really liked this volume.  It was so wholesome for the most part, though there were a couple heated moments.  Looking forward to continuing this series!

This was simply put - a masterpiece. The writing, the characters, the thematic elements, the atmosphere, the horror, it was all so fantastically done.  Sorrowland is an incredible novel that builds such a tense, haunting story, I couldn't put it down.

This volume was so much faster paced than the first one, and it makes sense with all the matches happening in this one.  The characters absolutely make this story for me. From the assumed rivalry to the long standing friendships and camaraderie, each character brought something special to the pages.  Looking forward to volume 3!

I should've read beyond Practical Magic meets Twister. That line absolutely drew me in, and I didn't think I needed to know anymore.  However, had I read the synopsis, I'd have seen that this book has one of my least favorite tropes.  Still when I realized that it was there, I stuck it out and hoped this book, with it's pretty writing, would change my mind.

It didn't.

The message around climate change is really important, and I'm happy to see it becoming a more prevalent topic in YA, but the MC was full and being stuck in her mind for 300+ pages was painful.
