What the actual fuck did I just read? And did I like it? Only time so tell. I'll give an actual rating once I sit for a bit with these fantastically absurd stories.

The only thing that would've made this better would have been if I had read it in an isolated cabin in the forest during the height of winter. The atmosphere of this was fanfuckingtastic. I didn't love the characters, but I don't have to to enjoy a story. I loved the little side vignettes between the main story. It just added to the whole horror of it all.
What a fun, wild, horrifying time!

Unruly fae and forests and magic gone wild - yes to all of that, please! Plus characters that are so wholesome and delightful. I loved Jo and Orla’s interactions with each other, the community, and the magic around them. It was soft, quiet, and beautiful, and at times, dark. We see the anger of Mamo and the havoc she’s causing to the town because of her choices.
This is a fantastic story with gorgeous art and some thought provoking moments. Definitely read this if you’re in the mood for some gentle, queer fantasy.
Thank you to the publisher for providing me an ARC for an honest review.
This was so absurd and it went way too long. I think I prefer my haunted house stories as novellas. Having too many pages made this drag and become so completely unrealistic - and that's saying something since it's about a haunting.

This story was the perfect warm blanket and hot cup of tea on a cold, gray January day. I absolutely loved seeing Dex and Mosscap again after a year of turmoil, pain, and chaos. These books are just big ol' bear hugs, and I appreciate that so much.
Dex and Mosscap's friendship is so gentle and true, and it brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful tale, and I cannot wait to see where they go in the future!

A creature feature where man is once again the scariest monster. Near the Bone starts off as a slow, domestic thriller of sorts, and then goes absolutely off the hinges. There's mystery and a beastie and of course, the real villain of it all, a man named William.
I could not put this one down! It was brutal in every sense of the word!

What a way to start 2023! I absolutely adored this story, these characters, and even the era. Polk added so much brilliance into this novella. Absolute perfection!

I'm not usually one for second chance romance, but I think because this was book 5, I've been seeing Jules and Ruben on the sidelines, so I was ready for this. It starts high spice, and we finally get to see what broke these two apart. And I get it. It made sense for these characters and how we've known them to be now over 4 books.
Overall, I've enjoyed this series, but I'm glad the next book isn't out, because I'm ready for a break!
