Oh yeah, this is where it's at.  I love all the sisters at this point, so really it's down to how much I like the LI and their relationship with the sister of the story. And boy did I love Gareth. His story was heartbreaking, but I'm kinda a sucker for the arrogant know-it-alls. Especially when they get taken down a notch or three by a strong femme individual.

This definitely had some darker elements, and I'll be sure to add trigger warnings. The author shares them at the beginning of the book too!

After not loving the 2nd book, I was nervous but optimistic for this one.  Violet is the type of person I admire - unapologetically herself! We got to see more about the world that Cross is creating and while I absolutely hate the prejudice plot where all these modern folks just ignored what they were doing, I stuck with it.

And I'm glad I did because the next book I'm super intrigued by.  The author has hyped Grim up so much at this point. I'm ready to learn about them!

This was at times so fun and steamy but then it was also quite a bit cringe.  I don't like stalking and the small dick jokes in the beginning weren't funny.  Overall, this ended up being just okay.  Still interested in the series but it's lost a bit of its spark. Let's see if it can get it back!

What a fun palette cleanser for my usual horror mood.  This was so good and cute and honestly a perfect pick to break my slumpish mood! Can't wait to dive into book 2 and learn more about the sisters and their beaus!

I love seeing the different portal worlds! I hope we see more of Mariposa in the future but this was a beautiful glimpse of it.

This stunning piece of art was so therapeutic to read as we head into year 4 of a pandemic that some folks have forgotten about, but that still holds so much of my mental energy every single day.

Every page brought back the moments that have happened since 2020. There may not be a lot of words, but every single one is so powerful, and every piece of art is so important, and combined - this is perfection.

The gore and body horror imagery was such a highlight!  I loved the descriptive nature of Rachel's writing.  It went on a little too long, but for the most part, I really liked these characters and the story.  The sister bond was so strong and beautiful to read about.

If you want an easy, gore filled horror, I'd definitely give this a go!

This was brilliant!  Loved the storytelling, the characters, the setting, and the monsters.  It was so fantastically dark and brutal at times, and Liz was so imperfectly perfect.

That freaking ending though!  Damn!

This was a masterpiece in storytelling, and in its message.  With January 6th still very much in all our memories, this story is a reminder of how easy it is for the common citizen to become the monster. Katsu takes her years of knowledge, education and insight on working in intelligence for the government to create a realistic story from the realm of fairy tales.

Started October with this absolutely disturbing piece of work! I was horrified from start to finish, which as a horror fan, I thoroughly enjoyed.  Though, nothing about these characters' journeys were particularly enjoyable.  True Crime is a dark piece of fiction with fantastic storytelling and monsters on every page.

Highly recommend if you have the stomach for it!
