This is the first book I’ve read about Covid. I guess it could actually be labeled historical fiction as it perfectly captured so much of the dark days of March 2020 and beyond. It was a difficult read. I realized there were parts of quarantine and the beginning of the earth shutting down that I must’ve suppressed to protect myself. When I tell you I sobbed, I felt so much of this in my soul. I’m not an artsy person, so the art talk was lost on me, but it didn’t ruin the book or anything. This was hard for me, and I’d put off reading this book because I wasn’t sure I could handle it after losing my dad to Covid pneumonia in Oct 2021. But I’m so glad I did.

Wow, I didn’t know how much I would enjoy this series! What a wild ride. It totally didn’t end the way I thought it would, but what’s new? Jackson’s writing always leaves me guessing. However, I finally was able to figure out whodunnit, maybe a little too easily, which is different from the other books. I def wish there was more at the end, it was far too abrupt for me. But, a solid series, nonetheless.
A good read, with lots of thinking points and opportunities for discussion. I had to reread several sections because I didn’t quite understand what was happening. I didn’t love the ending, but I don’t know what a “good” ending would be for this story.
First time ugly crying over a book, right here. While it’s a little cringe with sooooo much talk about love, it’s sweet and totally reminds me of the innocence of your first love. Even tho I thought I was gonna be fine, the end had me bawling.

So many good nuggets in this book. Easy flowing read.
Not CoHo’s greatest work, but I will read the next two books in the series because I like to finish things out. This book felt repetitive when describing the desire between characters and their circumstantial dilemmas. It felt as though I could breeze over certain parts and not really miss anything.
E.R. Nurses: True Stories from America's Greatest Unsung Heroes
Chris Mooney, Matt Eversmann, James Patterson
If you wanna know what it’s like to be a nurse, read this book. It tells stories that just couldn’t be true… but they are, and only a nurse can understand that. Some of the stories harp on the “nurse heroes” a little too much, thus the three star review.

This was just bad! And I listened to the audiobook and that made it worse. The narrator laugh/talked as she read and just ruined the whole thing. Luckily it was a short book so I didn’t waste too much of my time.

TJR knocks it outta the park again! She is becoming one of my favorite authors. This book touches on so many taboo thoughts on marriage and family and I just thought it was so well done. Read this one, you won’t regret it. Oh, and I LOVED the grandma in this book, she added all the comedic relief and wisdom one could only expect from a grandma.

What a sweet story about the relationship between a daughter and her momma. Disclaimer: my review is slightly biased. My friend recommended this book to me and while I read it, all I could think about was my friend. She lost her mother, unexpectedly, a few years ago. Her mom was a lot like the mom in this book and my heart broke for my friend, to imagine how deeply she felt the words of this book in her soul. If you’ve lost your mom, read with care.
