Wish You Were Here

This is the first book I’ve read about Covid. I guess it could actually be labeled historical fiction as it perfectly captured so much of the dark days of March 2020 and beyond. It was a difficult read. I realized there were parts of quarantine and the beginning of the earth shutting down that I must’ve suppressed to protect myself. When I tell you I sobbed, I felt so much of this in my soul. I’m not an artsy person, so the art talk was lost on me, but it didn’t ruin the book or anything. This was hard for me, and I’d put off reading this book because I wasn’t sure I could handle it after losing my dad to Covid pneumonia in Oct 2021. But I’m so glad I did.
