High 4 stars! Twisted, surreal, gothic. Very much no plot just vibes but GAWD DID I LOVE THE VIBES. 

This was really a 2-star read for me but giving it 3 stars because I feel like it could have some value for others. I wanted more gardening insight and less time spent on her writing process. It overall felt disjointed and just didn't work for me.

This was mostly great. I just wish it included more multicultural perspectives instead of being so centered on white America.

Bored out of my gourd and solved the mystery in chapter 2.

Heart wrenching portrayal of a variety of types of relationships. Depression, economic disparities, and other ideas thoughtfully discussed. The letters between Eileen and Alice are top tier.

5/31/23 Re-Read: This is a great, entertaining time with a good twist at the end. It's not as thoughtful or profound as some of the other books in the series, but still a super fun time. 

Themes of ancestry and the divine feminine in this similar to White Horse by Erika T. Worth. Rich in symbolism and mythology. Gruesome body horror. I loved it.

This was a strange reading experience. I didn't really like this book, but I liked what it made me think about. I liked what it had to say about fan culture, but I didn't like the plot and I don't think I fully understood much about the main character or family dynamics. There is a good chance that this is a cultural barrier and just shows an area I don't know much about, but nonetheless, it made for a weird reading time, and not a good weird. I gave the book three stars because I do think there is value in it; I just couldn't access it very well myself.

Pretty entertaining but I figured out the plot twist early on.
