The final reveal felt a bit anti-climatic but otherwise this was GOOD. Loved my reading experience and I hope Juliano writes more!

I just read "Get out of your head" by Jennie Allen which covered many of the same topics and verses. What I took away from this book that was different from Allen's was the topic of unresolved guilt being a cause of anxiety. The rest was much the same. 

I enjoyed this. It was a sweet relationship complicated by grief. I thought the ways the characters worked through their grief was realistic and well done. I loved the horse content! My only complaint is that some lines felt cheesy enough to pull me out of the story and the town and Gavin sometimes felt too perfect. I will continue the series!

Most of this I liked but I have one major issue with it and that is it's entirely focusing on neurotypical people. When it comes to discussions of attention span, stimuli, and other factors related to phone use, Price fails to address how a neurodivergent brain might experience these things. Not even a whisper of discussion about it. Also, the plan to break up with your phone is basically an outline of how to use The Power of Habit by Duhigg.

This was a little heavy and on-the-nose with the metaphors, but it was creepy with a satisfying ending.

Honestly unless you are a Christian or Jesus following person, you probably won't get much use out of this. It is deeply based in Christian scripture and ideas. I do identify as a Christian so I got a few good nuggets to try out and found a lot of the book interesting and useful. There were some irrelevant tangents and the end started to feel redundant so I skimmed the last few chapters, but I still found it worth my time. 

This was an entertaining read. Very much "popcorn lit." It didn't have the normal substance Hawkins' work usually has. Reckless Girls remains my favorite of hers. 

I adore Will. I also love the way all the loose ends from previous books came together in this one. It makes me want to go back re-read the whole series to catch all the intricate plot points. 

I thought the setting was create with the house by the cliff. The twists were fine. the way the author villainized mental illness gave me the ick.
