Jenn is a city girl. Tiziano is a country boy. When Jenn travels to Italy for work, she doesn’t expect to fall in love - with the Italian countryside or an Italian boy.
Leonie Mack does it again - she has such a beautiful way with words, with drawing you into the story, with making you fall in love with the characters.
This was such a beautiful & comforting story - finding where you belong, finding a love you didn’t expect, and healing.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood books for the ARC, in exchange for my honest review.

Charlie and William met 6 years ago at a diner. Strangers that connected until he ghosted her and she never understood why.
Now he shows up at her dad’s PR firm and there a strong connection that they both feel, but won’t admit to each other. Until they start bumping into each others at different places - pizza parlors, coffee shops… even outside their respective apartments which just so happen to be across the street from each other.
This is a slow burn rom-com of two people who have very different families, given up on trusting the opposite gender, but fell hard 6 years ago and never got over it.
I give it 3.5 stars (rounded up on GoodReads) I really enjoyed the book until the last 20% when it felt like it was trying to rush a third act breakup (that was due to lack of communication), and tie up the ending to give us a happily ever after. The ending is one part that I would have loved to see done a little differently.
Huge thank you to Valentine PR for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I went between a 3.5 and 3 stars for The Book Proposal - I LOVED the idea it, but I struggled with some aspects of it.
Gracie is a ghostwriter and is struggling to finish her next book. She’s been working with an agent who is convinced that she can get her a 6 figure two-book deal but she needs to see something as soon as possible. Gracie is also not quiet over a high school crush, Colin - who she just so happens to drunk email one night.
Colin responds the email and two embark on emails back and forth - creating an unlikely friendship, growing love - all the while he’s helping provide her ideas for her new book. Who’s ex-wife is her unknowingly her agent.
I LOVED the back & forth emails and I loved the friendship but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters to make me feel the love. I also didn’t really love the characters themselves - in my books, I want more depth. I want to be in their head. I want to see growth & development and I didn’t really notice that. I also didn’t love the third act breakup that was due to miscommunication/ lack of communication.
This is a debut novel by KJ Micciche - I would absolutely give more books by her a try because she has great ideas.

Kitty runs the Kitty Whisperer - she trains, sits, and cares for cats. Miles is a sports analyst for an NHL team. His mom is experiencing dementia and needs help caring for her cat while she’s in the hospital & he’s trying to find a care home for her. He’s a dog lover - HATES cats - so he calls Kitty. One thing leads to another and they fall in love and Miles learns that he actually doesn’t hate cats and Kitty’s business grows.
I wanted to love this book - I like Helena Hunting’s stories but this one REALLY missed the mark for me. The characters felt like they had absolutely no chemistry, the sex felt forced, the cat innuendos was way overkill, and the writing felt full of fluff and immature.
I gave it three stars and I’m wondering if I’m being super generous because I’m a self proclaimed cat lady.
However, huge thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I literally cannot put my thoughts into words about this book.

It wrecked me. Literally. Fucking. Wrecked me.
Also - thank you to LibroFM for the ALC. I’m sorry my review sucks but don’t blame the book. The book was phenomenal.

Olive is terrified of flying - so when she flies to Florida to run in a marathon for her brother, it would just so happen that someone on her flight has a medical emergency. She saves him (he just so happens to be Mickey Mouse at Disney) and she becomes a hero. She also meets the co-pilot Stella and the two quickly become friends. Their story gets out and they start faking dating in an attempt to help Stella get a much deserved promotion.
I will admit that the story at times felt slow - I struggled with some of the chemistry between the two that I felt could have been resolved by having a dual POV.
The story seemed to pick up once the two really hit it off. It was full of emotions due to Olive's struggle with her mental health, grief, and toxic ex-girlfriend.
Overall, I liked this debut and I look forward to more books from this author.

Walker was recently appointed guardianship of his 5 nieces and nephews, following their parents passing. Talia recently moved back to Oregon to take ownership of her dad’s grocery store, following his passing.
The two have a pretty disastrous meet cute and then continue to run into each other everywhere around town. The grocery store, the coffee shop… soon they are admitting that maybe they can be friends. While the love grows, so does love (tainted by many mental health struggles respectively)
The Ones We Fight For is a great reminder to fight for the friends & family that you have, fight for the ones that you love. But also remember to love yourself along the way.
I gave this a solid 4 stars - I love the found family, the relationships, the reminder to always communicate. I love the therapy because that is something that is not talked about enough. However, the slow burn between Talia and Walker felt a little too slow. I kept hoping that they would admit their feelings to each other because you could feel that the chemistry was there from the beginning.
Overall, I loved this book and I can’t wait to read more books by her.
Thank you Katie for the e-ARC in exchange for my honest & 100% unbiased review.

I’m still trying to figure out what I just read and why I didn’t go ahead and DNF.
The synopsis had promise. It started off cute. Two siblings go to an outdoor wellness retreat - Teagan struggles with his mental health & panic attacks. While Sloane drinks & did coke a few times.
Darcy is a wellness coach at this retreat who is convinced that Teagan is recovering from a drinking problem.
There were communication problems. Nobody listened to what anybody else said. The FMC and MMC’s lack of chemistry made me question whether this was supposed to be a romance??
Go into this book with very little expectations. And hope that even then you don’t get let down.
