Charlie, Love and Clichés
by Ella Maise
Charlie and William met 6 years ago at a diner. Strangers that connected until he ghosted her and she never understood why.
Now he shows up at her dad’s PR firm and there a strong connection that they both feel, but won’t admit to each other. Until they start bumping into each others at different places - pizza parlors, coffee shops… even outside their respective apartments which just so happen to be across the street from each other.
This is a slow burn rom-com of two people who have very different families, given up on trusting the opposite gender, but fell hard 6 years ago and never got over it.
I give it 3.5 stars (rounded up on GoodReads) I really enjoyed the book until the last 20% when it felt like it was trying to rush a third act breakup (that was due to lack of communication), and tie up the ending to give us a happily ever after. The ending is one part that I would have loved to see done a little differently.
Huge thank you to Valentine PR for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
