I started reading this thinking that it was a happy go-lucky rom-com and instead found a very emotional coming of age romance. Which was the type of wholesomeness that my heart truly needed.

Hannah White managed to escape a domestic violence home to start a new life for her & her new daughter. In this small town, she meets Police Officer Andrew Brody and unexpectedly fall in love, while simultaneously healing.

Once I started reading, it was incredibly difficult to put this book down. I loved the writing style, I loved how the story flowed and kept me captivated. I love how invested I felt in these characters.

My only complaint is how quickly the relationship between Hannah & Brody developed. It felt odd how quickly she developed feelings after leaving an abusive relationship. I would have loved to see a deeper friendship develop first.

Thank you NetGalley & HQ Digital for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Marlowe Banks, Redesigned is the wholesome story that you need to remind you that there is pure & simple beauty in the world.

Marlowe works as a PA to a designer on a campy TV show set. Angus Hughes is the lead “bad-boy” actor, playing Jack, the “bad-boy” character.. Even though these two don’t know each other, Marlowe definitely doesn’t like him because he’s an egotistical, player who has a reputation for rotating through relationships. Thanks to Marlowe agreeing to a quick part as a waitress on camera, the world has fallen in love with the idea of Jack & Waitress ship.

I adore the enemies - lovers trope. Especially when there is a solid friendship develop. I feel in love with the characters of Marlowe & Angus, as well as the background characters. The entire story was so wholesome and charming & I want more Anglowe stories now. Mangus? They also need an official ship name.

Definitely 4-4.5 star worthy.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press & St Martins Griffin for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Having not read "Good Girl Complex" but reading the reviews, I had no idea what to expect when I started listening to "Bad Girl Reputation".

I'm a sucker for the second chance romance trope and this was no except. Genevieve is back in town. The last time that Evan saw or spoke to her, was just before she skipped town after not even saying goodbye. With a history of hot & steamy on-and-off again relationship, Gen knew that she needed to avoid Evan, no matter how much that he thinks he can change and they truly below together.

I absolutely love Elle Kennedy's writing and the narrators Lee Samuels and Summer Morton brought the story to life. The spice scenes worked so well with the story and bad-boy/girl to good-boy/girl is not something that is done often.

Thank you MacMillan Audio and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to the author for the advanced listening copy for my honest review.

This was my first time listening to the Maxine Mitchell and Jack Calihan as narrators. I will admit that this book may have been better for me to read because I tend to be picky with audiobooks. This is probably definitely a me thing and if you like these narrators, then you will enjoy this audiobook!

This is also the first book that I read from Karen Grey - the story itself was different from what I've read, but I love the "one night stand leads to future encounters" trope as well as the "enemies to lovers" trope. I loved that the enemies came from the family feud because that always gives the main characters a chance to prove themselves better than the family feud.

I really enjoyed the characters - the main characters had beautiful character development and the background characters didn't just fall in the background. They had their own stories and they were memorable.

The biggest down side to me with this book was the narrators (again, a me problem) and the writing struck me as a little cheesy and drawn out at times. However, Karen Grey is a very loved author and I can't wait to check out more of her books!
