I think this was my very first Second Chance Trope that I've read and while I enjoyed the book for what it offered, I realized that I don't love second chance romances.

Allison and Colin are both academia students who are Teacher Assistants for the same Professor. Which means they are ultimately competing for a spot for a once in a lifetime research trip. They are also exes and have a very rocky history which makes the competition even that more important to Allison.

What I loved: Fat positive narrative - we need more books that embrace people in all sizes, shapes, and colors. I loved that they showed Allison's family as toxic and she refused to be a victim.

What I didn't love: Truly not much - except the idea of getting back together with an ex who damaged badly.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This may have been one of the cutest Christmas/Holiday books that I've recently read!

Merry loves the Christmas season but is woefully single. Her family owns a Christmas Tree Farm and she's desperate for her father to teach her the business ways. Clark is a foreman hired by her father to help out at the Christmas tree farm. He's a single dad & a grump. He loves his son but protects his heart & his family. They have both interactions while on the farm & off as they unknowingly match on a dating app.

What I loved: This is the first rom-com where the main characters actually communicated! This made my "hater of miscommunication trope" heart super happy. I love the characters and how memorable they were.

Overall, a great read & super cute book. I did deduct a star because it was a little too corny for my tastes at times.

Codi Hall.... you did it again! Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC for my honest review.
