Hailey is relatively new to the area and determined to make her Salad shop business thrive.
Wes recently moved to California from New York for his family & just wants to partner with his brothers on investments. After a very bad “meet cute”, the two eventually become friends… and more…
Friends to Lovers trope can be one of my favorites because you get to see the relationship build. I absolutely adored the relationship between Hailey & Wes, both as friends and as lovers. I cried when they had their predictable break up (breakup was predictable, but what caused it was not) and I cried again when they got back together.
Definitely a 4 star read - I really enjoyed it and did not want to put it down.
Sophie Sullivan is a fantastic author, whose writing style hits me right in the feels. This is a third part to a series, but each book is a standalone. And doesn’t necessarily rely on the previous book. Just don’t read this one first.

I have so many feelings about Paris Daillencourt is About to Crumble and I can’t make sense of any of those thoughts in my head.
Paris is picked to be on Bake Expectations. Paris also doesn’t know why he was picked to be on this show because he is convinced that he is just. not. good. Paris meets Tariq and they become friendly & form a relationship. However, things turn sour (baking or cooking pun anyone??) because Tariq just can’t handle Paris’s issues…
While I knew that Paris was struggling with a lot of anxiety - enough to the point to have a serious mental illness - I really struggled with his character. Enough to the point that I severely disliked his character. He pissed me off. He made me so angry. But I connected with what he was feeling and I just wanted him to get better.
It wasn’t until the last 25% of the book when I really noticed some character development and mainly because of the therapy and him accepting when you have a mental illness, you need help. As someone who also struggles with depression & anxiety, I struggled with the fact that I didn’t like this character for so much of the book. But he hit his downfall and sometimes you have to hit the rocks before you can understand what you need to do to get better.
Overall, I give the book a solid 3. I can’t give higher because of my struggles with the character. Also, I am majorly struggling with the fact that we don’t get closure about his parents. Are they in a coma and no one at the hospital thought to find their family? Did they truly abandon him? Have they been on a 4 month holiday and just don’t have cell service? Are they dead and he can’t accept their passing?
Huge thank you to NetGalley & Forever - Grand Central Publishing for this ARC for my 100% honest (seriously) review!

How do I love this book? Let me count the ways…
Lara is victim of a violent crime who is taking it day by day to learn how to recover from what she experienced.
Theo is an actor who had an accidental run-in with Lara - who is also recovering from baggage in his own past.
All the Days is Elle Jayce’s debut novel and already I am wanting more stories from her. Her writing style is captivating, her characters are beautifully developed, and this book was hard to put down.
I swooned over Theo & Lara’s interactions. Cried at the telling of the attack. I fell in love with the slow-forming friendship/relationship formed between the two. The plot felt so real & relatable because nothing was rushed. (I cringe when plots rush the relationship and severely downplay any past that may be impacting the character).
Easily a 5 star read and one that I would happily read again & again.

Billie is single for the holidays and decides to sign up for a week of dating ("matcher") events - it's a good thing too because all of a sudden, her divorced parents, step mother, sister, AND ex-boyfriend have shown up for the holidays. Thank goodness she can get away and meet Rocco - who makes the events a little more fun for her.
This is the first book that I read from Portia MacIntosh and the only reason why I knocked it from a 5 star to 4 star rating is because her writing style is not my favorite. I love the story that she created, the eclectic mix of characters, and I kept going between swooning over the building chemistry between Rocco & Billie to chuckling at the insanity that was ensuing with the "family".
It's a very cute story and will be enjoyable by those that want a good laugh at a holiday scenario that is quite relatable - I also love that she ended the book feeling like there could be another Billie & Rocco adventure. Even if there isn't a second book, it's easy to imagine what could happen...

Oh Lizzie Blake. She's an adult who manages living with ADHD and RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria which is something that I have never heard of). She lives a life of chaos and prefers mindless sex to committed relationships. Until she meets Rake... an Aussie who just so happened to be visiting the US and has a 2-night stand which also unexpectedly leads to Lizzie getting pregnant.
This book had me laughing, swooning, and crying as Lizzie hashed out lifelong trauma experiences. I love her realness - I love Rake's empathetic and caring nature. I love the chemistry between the two, including the tastefully done spice!
Mot of all, I loved how well that the story came together. Beautifully written and completely relatable, Lizzie Blake's Best Mistake was truly... the best.
As for the audiobook, I'm a sucker for a good narrator and I loved the dual narrators (Summer Morton and Will Peters) as they told this story. The voices draw you in (especially Will Peter's aussie accent --- SWOON) and take you on an emotional ride.
Huge thank you to MacMillan Audio and Netgalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest feedback.
