Lizzie Blake's Best Mistake
by Mazey Eddings
Oh Lizzie Blake. She's an adult who manages living with ADHD and RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria which is something that I have never heard of). She lives a life of chaos and prefers mindless sex to committed relationships. Until she meets Rake... an Aussie who just so happened to be visiting the US and has a 2-night stand which also unexpectedly leads to Lizzie getting pregnant.
This book had me laughing, swooning, and crying as Lizzie hashed out lifelong trauma experiences. I love her realness - I love Rake's empathetic and caring nature. I love the chemistry between the two, including the tastefully done spice!
Mot of all, I loved how well that the story came together. Beautifully written and completely relatable, Lizzie Blake's Best Mistake was truly... the best.
As for the audiobook, I'm a sucker for a good narrator and I loved the dual narrators (Summer Morton and Will Peters) as they told this story. The voices draw you in (especially Will Peter's aussie accent --- SWOON) and take you on an emotional ride.
Huge thank you to MacMillan Audio and Netgalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest feedback.
