lighthearted
relaxing
This was pure, sugary sweet fluff and I loved every minute of it. While the ML does indeed have some jealousy going on, I never actually felt like it was entirely unreasonable and he was never cruel or overly demanding when he got jealous. Instead it served more to help him recognize his own feelings.
I really enjoyed how sweet and gentle the whole relationship was and how unwittingly smooth the ML could be. I was pretty much grinning the whole time I read this one.

slow-paced
The pacing in this book really suffers until it shifts gears around the final third and everything starts happening. That's also when things start getting explained and the tone shifts towards melancholy and a bit sad. NGL, the bit since Song Yao learned he unintentionally wreaked havoc on the fated loves of Tianshu and Hengwen... and that Hengwen was fated for someone else and he was pivotal to them coming together... and the angst from that easily raised this book a full star from my initial thoughts.
Nanming's a dick though. Fuck that guy.

Somewhat sweet little short story with a bit of a bite. Wasn't expecting the stuff with the older brother and I do feel bad for the prince.
