Should be my jam but I keep wandering off to do anything but keep reading.
It was too much wife chasing and was already starting to get tiresome. Knowing it was going to continue on for awhile yet was depressing.
There were some things I liked and some I didn't. At first i was really into it but the longer I read the more tedious it seems.
Arc 1 was weird.
Arc 2 was so brainless it was giving me a headache.

Graphic: Fatphobia, Murder
DNFed because literally everything about this book is a steaming pile of crap.
Thinly veiled excuse to sexualize a child, rampant pedophilia, and textbook grooming of a minor by an adult. I genuinely don’t care if the MC is a 30 yo in a child’s body. He doesn’t act like it, literally no one else is aware of it (especially the ML who gropes him constantly) and the book spends a lot of time focusing on sexualizing how cute and young and adorable he is. The ML controls every aspect of his life, to include what food he is and isn’t allowed to eat and blatantly violates his boundaries until he gives up fighting him and tbh, I genuinely felt sorry for most of the people the MC was trying to get revenge on in this life because the situation was so wildly different this time around and tbh most of the things they did to him in his previous life seemed to be consequences of his own shitty actions and they were nice enough people this time around, being punished for something they haven’t done.
Excuse me while I go throw up a little and hate myself for ever even starting this.

Moderate: Pedophilia, Toxic relationship
I, for the most part, enjoyed what I read up to this point but I honestly have no desire to continue this story. Maybe that will change in the future but probably not.
This is a pretty typical example of the cute pet boyfriend trope and nothing about it particularly stood out except that he was a fish and I had a great many questions about the realism of literally anything that happened in this story in relation to that. The other thing that I really enjoyed is that the ML really was mute and up to where I read, there was no magical fix that suddenly made him capable of talking, and seeing them navigate that part of their relationship was interesting, and I think in some ways, it spotlights just how easy it is to take advantage of someone who can't speak. There were times when they were arguing that I just wanted to scream at the MC because he could say whatever he wanted and he could just walk away and the ML wouldn't have any chance to really defend himself because he wasn't able to express himself vocally and the MC could just refuse to read the notes he tried to pass him.
Once all of the relationship stuff was straightened up though and the babies came into the picture, the story lost a lot of it's steam. I don't particularly care about the face-slapping and the MC is clearly going to find a way to become human for as long as he wants. The only thing I could see this story doing that isn't already incredibly apparent is revealing that the ML's muteness is deliberate sabotage and doing something to rectify it. There's been hints already and one of the few things I've actually enjoyed about this story is that the ML's disability wasn't negated--I'm looking at you Insider--and I'm not interested in seeing the story go that route.
Anyway, if you want a cute pet boyfriend story I don't think this one is all that bad but I really need to stop trying to read these. I've DNFed every single one I've tried out of boredom and this one isn't any different.

I'm only 12 chapters in and I'm already uncomfortable with the basic relationship information. The MC was so traumatized over his initial encounter with the ML pretending to be a girl that interacting with men makes him literally physically ill. Meanwhile the ML is obsessed with finding him and had built shrines to him. He is also somehow a phenomenally good player and exceptional guild leader to the number 1 guild on the server despite only playing a half an hour a day. Also the MC is somehow able to be better than literally everyone else despite having lower tier weapons and had never worked in a group and I'm sorry but... I've only started and I'm already tired. No thanks.
I was interested at first but it kept getting more repetitive and boring
Also the repeated emphasis that the 28 yo ML was an old man was tiresome. Did a 14 yo write this?

Some of it can be chalked up to the author (juvenile writing, dumbing down characters for exposition dumps, weird and jarring humor scenes)
and some of it is the translator (whole chapters where multiple characters get assigned the POV character's name so it become VERY confusing just what is going on, disjointed paragraphs, chapters out of order, as well as usual MTL shenanigans)
leading to the whole thing just being boring or an exercise in frustration. I was kind of here for the dynamics, the aliens, and the weak to strong characters, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm just so bored. I was digging it at first but my God... it takes so bloody long to get anywhere.
