I had a lot of fun with this one.  It had a very refreshing feel to it.  I liked pretty much all of the female characters that were introduced and it probably helped that pretty much none of them were there for face slapping.  I also liked that the women were just as likely to take the same jobs as the men, although I did start to notice that despite that, there was never a woman in a high ranking position--they were never tribe leaders or priests or really even seemed to get that strong, except for one woman who was introduced as a beast king... in the extras.
Additionally, I was pleased that despite the fact that Zhou Ji came from a modern time period and obviously had more modern sensibilities, he didn't condemn anyone in the clan for how they were.  He didn't try to correct people when they were improperly dressed, except for handing Xiong Ye his clothing and averting his own eyes.  For the most part, he let them live how they wanted to except for making quality of life improvements.  This starting changing a bit towards the end and became especially apparent in the extras when he started using his position to impose modern family dynamics on the society but for the most part it was ignorable.
I'm not going to touch on some of the whole primitive = stupid things because for the most part, it was played more cute than anything but it could be a turnoff for some.  Also it did drag a bit in some spots.  There's an insane amount of focus on food and cooking and I was wondering if the author was just hungry every time they wrote because we pretty much moved from one meal to another, from one crop staple to another and it took a long, long time for the plot to get moving.

So yeah.  Cute, fun story that I really enjoyed and more respectful than most of these novels towards its female cast.  Dragged a bit in some spots and I kind of wish I hadn't read the extras because they undid some of the things I enjoyed, but I would still definitely recommend it.

Edit upon reread: there is slavery in this and honestly Zhou Ji's behavior can come off as a bit manipulative.  He has his own reasons and I didnt overly mind but ymmv on how harmful it is.

I Rely On Acting Well-behaved To Marry First, Then Fall In Love

花笙酿

Yeah look I'm sorry but the MC in this is toxic af.  Like i was actually kind into the idea of this one because it sounded kind of cute and I'm always here for a story where they're openly gay but... this was not good. The MC's a whiny brat because the ML didn't fall for his "genius" seduction routine when the ML made it very clear from the start that he wasn't interested and this was 100% a fakemarriage, he throws a total fit that the ML dared to have a legitimate work related issue that meant he couldn't come home for a planned dinner, shits on the birthday gifts the ML bought for him, telling him they're ugly, and somehow everything is the ML's fault despite the fact that he either a) genuinely doesn't know/ understand the problem (like the MC throwing a door slamming fit because the ML said he was 179 cm--which is the truth--instead of his fake height of 182) or b) is genuinely trying his best and put a lot of effort into it.  I'm seriously no end of fucking annoyed about the birthday gift issue because it was a genuinely sweet attempt on the ML's part to try and set up a live streaming environment for him as a surprise gift and he was such a dick about it.  Like I'm not sure in what world pink, gray, and blue clash but that's actually a pretty decent color scheme? I guess it depends on shades.  Also, see the fit he threw about the height thing because the ML got him a customized body pillow of him as an anime character that was true to height, and he also got in a dig because the ML got it with his fake "good boy" appearance despite the ML not knowing until literally that day that he actually dressed/looked different.
And there's this weird vibe off the story that I'm supposed to be supporting the MC and cheering that the ML is apologizing and trying to "make up for his wrongs" when the MC is the unreasonable POS who is literally only here because he wants the ML to fuck him and he's mad that he won't, despite the ML telling him from the very start that he wasn't not into that.
Anyway I'm peacing out because fuck this noise.

Fuck that fucking trash piece of shit commander.  I just know this is going to be a crematorium and that's not my jam and also that dick deserves to end up forever alone.

The worlds moved really quick. A lot of interstellar and gher storylines.  The MC has a super OP system and there's plenty of dumb cannon fodder and face slapping.   The translator warns very well for content, especially dubcon and noncon.
I'm a little annoyed there was never really a why given to MC being able to fix his former lives by transmigrating to heal the general's broken mind.   I expected at least some sort of former connection but nope. Nothing... nor was there any explanation for ML's daddy kink but i suppose that one can just be tossed on he's a pervert

Honestly I didn't think the dubcon/noncon was that bad but danmei has kind of broken my standards.

An interesting unlimited flow novel that goes back and forth between a horror story and a case.   Things eventually all tie together in the end, but lord was it a confusing af ending

Literally has no substance other than a thin veneer of a plot for two people to instantly fall in love with each other and be super sticky.  It's a bit too much and I certainly wouldn't be able to handle for a thousand pages.   Gonna give this one a pass...
