Oh what a rollercoaster of a book! If you like reading about war, magic, and heartbreaking backstories this is your book. This book was so well written and the pov switched between Max, Tisaanha and Aefe made it so much more enjoyable.

Aefe’s story is so sad and it makes it hard to dislike her even with her actions as Reshaye; I like that she separates herself from her for that reason even if it is because she doesn’t remember. Also Aefe and Caduan parallel Max and Tisaanah so well I can see them in each other

The struggle that Max and Tisaanah go through is also really tough to read but I hope they get their happy ending.

Nura makes me so mad it’s like one betrayal wasn’t enough??? even if she thinks what she is doing is for her country/ city it is not justifiable what so ever. She keeps hurting Max and on top of it is the reason for the war they are now facing…

Started the next book immediately cause i need answers lol.

I liked the plot/story of this book and the characters and think it could’ve been fine as a stand alone. My review is a bit lower because of how the narrators read; I thought Max was significantly older because of how Esther did his voice and didn't like how she read him.

This made it awkward when the romance started cause I thought they would have a strict master apprentice relationship and had to look up his age lol./spoiler> I also didn’t love Max’s narrator and how he spoke like he was always kinda out of breath but at least he sounded his age. Anyway, the story is good so far and I am gonna continue reading despite this. I think the magic system and different human magic users are a fun concept.

I loved the language in this book and the unique telling from Constanta. Many parts of this book were interesting and the overall dynamic of the “vampire family” was definitely freaky lol.

“come over here and kiss your sister” was a crazy line even if they aren’t actually related i was like this man is a freak. I enjoyed Magdalena and Constanta’s relationship and loved how Alexi brought a bit of flare and energy to the family. It was sad to see how Dracula sucked the life out of things they enjoyed; Constanta with her religion and love for other people, Magdalena with her love for politics and keeping in touch with important figures as well as freedom, and Alexi with his love for theater and making friends.

I think the ending of this book fell a bit flat for the buildup that was given tho. Still a fun vampire read for the spooky month of October!

This book was a lot of fun and super cute! I liked the mystery aspect as normal romance books tend to bore me and this one had plenty of interesting twists. I really enjoyed Tom and Amelia’s dynamic and liked hearing about all the things they discussed in their night together.

A nice and fitting end to this series (i think it’s the end?). I think this series could go on forever and i’d enjoy every book. I really love murderbot and ARTs relationship and also how murderbot interacts with ARTs crew. 

I love this book so much (': I don't care that there were some slow parts because it was written so well and because robin hobb really knows how to write a good character.

I enjoyed watching Fitz recover from his trauma and learn how to be a man again; I think it was really realistic how long it took and I am glad he didn't just wake up all better (although I hate to see him suffer). This boy is a major escape artist fr tho, the amount of times he gets caught and somehow gets out is crazy. Despite what other people say about him not learning anything, I can see he definitely grew in this book. Yes he still kept some of his childish and arrogant qualities but I think that's what makes him relatable and human.

Moving on from his time apart from everyone, I was so happy when he was saved by the Fool and they were reunited. His relationship with the Fool and Nighteyes are my favorite and I really can't get enough. Hobb outdid herself with their relationship, I love them so much! Also, despite the hard journey I was happy that Fitz did not go alone to seek Verity and that we got more of Kettricken. Their journey was very fun to read and I was very excited when they found Verity. The part with the dragon confused me a bit but it also felt intentional since Fitz was also confused. One part I am still confused about is why when Verity failed, it had been such a big deal to take from Fitz; I am still not sure what happened because he said he took his life.. but he still lives and he still went into the dragon. Did he mean give up all the feelings regarding him?... but if he was going into the dragon anyway, see what I mean, Idk maybe I missed something. Regardless that part made me sad and the part with Molly and Burrich killed me. I wanted Fitz to have a happier ending and instead he's isolated from everyone in his life, except for Nighteyes and occasionally Starling. On top of that, no one knows all that he did except for Kettricken, the Fool and Starling!

I will be thinking about this one for awhile and I am glad there's 13 more books to read because I need more asap.

Another good book in this series! I do wish it went before network effect since it seems to take place before then but other than that it was very good. I love when murderbot has to interact with humans it doesn’t entirely get along with lol so funny. I also loved the mystery aspect to this one.

murderbot and arts relationship is so cute and entertaining, i am so happy that art is not dead! I am also loving the development between mensah’s family and murderbot. This book has been the best one so far. Sec 3 is so cute too lol I found its interactions to be so pure and loved the confusion.

 

Gonna be honest I waited too long to rate this one and started the next book so I don’t wanna say too much since I can’t remember where one stops and the other begins. But these books are so good and so entertaining i’m really enjoying this series.

This one was so good! More interactions with humans and another bot friend yay!

I hope that Murderbot makes more bot friends and gets closer to humans. I think it keeps getting better and can’t wait for more.
