Another good book in the series! The shortness makes it so easy to get through and i like that they’re kind of split up in the missions that Murderbot takes. I loved their relationship with Art, it was hilarious and I enjoyed learning more about other types of bots. I also love how as Murderbot gains more experience with humans it seems like they are growing more comfortable with them (even tho they say they don’t enjoy it). I will be reading the next one right away.

I loved how short and to the point this book was and also the unique perspective of the sec bot/ murderbot. I am excited to read more and especially loved all the characters who grew to get along with Murderbot. Super endearing how awkward and antisocial Murderbot is; really added to it’s character and humanlike qualities despite not wanting to interact with humans.

What a fun read! It has the perfect fairytale aspect told in a child’s perspective but it is very dark. It reminded me a little of the show over the garden walls only there was a lot more darkness and death in this book. I was a bit bored in the beginning but the ending was very good and overall the book was well written. Bonus stars for the narrator doing all the creepy voices, he did an amazing job.

I loved the mix of folklore and spooky aspects. I think this was definitely different than other horror/ thriller books I’ve read and I think audiobook is the way to go. Having a narrator with an irish accent to set the scene was really nice. Some aspects didn’t add up for me and made me frustrated. How is it that Mina and the rest were able to make it to the coop during the day but they can’t go back the same way and get out? Is it because where they ventured in isn’t safe either? or that they can’t find their way back? This aspect confused me a bit. I was also so mad that Daniel died the way he did because he literally had the information that these things can copy the humans faces… like come on boy you know John has been dead for DAYS. There would be no way he would be alive in the woods; it felt both really dumb and in character cause he’s very kind and probably not in the right mind but UGH. Also so called it that Madeline was not human. Interesting that they can talk then and choose not to? or maybe it’s just only the more adaptable advanced ones that can go out in the light. I loved this ending and I am looking forward to the next book coming out in October.

Cute and quick read but didn’t really connect well with the story. I enjoyed the voice actors tho, I think the guy read some lines in a very funny way and I felt he fit his character well. Juliet was also a very entertaining character and I loved the banter between her and Monroe. I am a sucker for slow burn so that’s probably why I didn’t enjoy this as much. Other than that there was not a ton of plot but it’s a good read for hitting book reading goals.

Another red flag man but hey at least there’s a cheesy cute happy ending! This one kinda bored me even tho I liked the characters, Stella is way too good for this man. No offense but a hot face does not excuse murder and stalking.. an Alex 2.0 only much creepier given he had been obsessed with Stella for 5 years. I don’t hate Christian but at least Alex had a more traumatic backstory to back up what he did. Yes Christians parents died and both deaths weren’t pretty but it felt like there should’ve been more. All’s well that ends well! Pretty enjoyable series overall, like junk food for the brain lol not the most well written but definitely entertaining.

I enjoyed this pretty much the same as the first book up but a couple very frustrating parts made it lose stars for me. Regardless like all the books in the series it was entertaining. I enjoyed Jules and her complex past but oh my god there were soooo many points where all she had to do was communicate with Josh. I get she was worried based on previous trauma but come on. Also, I was hoping Josh would be more golden retriever vibes cause he was described as carefree; but after everything that happened to him I get that he would be a bit messed up. I liked him and his relationship with Jules up until the point when she came clean to him and he fucked her then threw her out. That part was so rough for me and the things he said I honestly don’t know how she forgave him oof. Not saying what she did wasn’t bad but at least she told him… On to the next book!

I have a feeling every one of these men will have some trauma and some red flag energy but Rhys was surprisingly more enjoyable for me than Alex. I enjoyed his and Bridget’s relationship a lot and liked that they got past their differences to work together. I also feel like he is less violent despite his job and has a better moral compass than Alex did. I mean the man has cptsd from the navy and his abusive mother and he still turned out alright and treats Bridget well. I also like that the main thing separating the couple was the crown and not something horrible either of them did. Refreshing to see them figure it out and end up happy together!

Fun and easy read but man does the main love interest have issues. Definitely one of those guys where it’s kinda okay in books, but in real life i’d probably gag in his face ew. Some parts were very very very cringe but it was entertaining enough for me to finish and continue with the next. Loved the thriller aspect tho, I enjoyed the mystery of what really happened to Ava.

Robin Hobb really knows how to write characters! I loved this book more than the first, and knew after all that world building it would go somewhere good. I loved all the skilling aspects and learning more about how the wit works. All the character dynamics were very well written, especially the Fool and his relationship with Fitz. All the twists in the book had me going, that last 150 pages of the book was so good! The dynamic between Patience, Burrich and Chivalry was a rough reveal. Fitz and his planning with Verity was insane; my favorite part that made me laugh so hard was him killing Serene and just being totally wacked up on drugs “Surprise!”. I know the whole situation was bad but I couldn’t stop giggling at that. I can’t wait to see what the next book has in store!
