I've adored Stephen Fry for years now. There has always been something about him that seemed so mysterious to me. I love his sense of humour and his personality, I am envious of his friendship with Hugh Laurie, yet lucky that I also have a friendship on par with theirs. I couldn't get enough of this novel. Stephen is such an interesting and complex individual that it was hard to put this book down. I found myself feeling highly amused yet, at times, desperately sad whilst reading this. I can't wait to read the next instalment.

It took me a long time to get through this one. I found it difficult to stomach the content of this book. However, the writing style and everything else about this novel is fantastic.

I enjoyed this book. I was worried this was going to be your typical 'boy meets girl and she's magically cured' novel, but it wasn't like that at all.

Audrey is a teenage girl who suffers from anxiety disorders and episodes of depression. She hasn't left the house in a while, with the exception of her visits to the hospital. She won't make eye contact with anyone other than close family. She wears dark glasses and is terrified of strangers and the outside world. Until she meets Linus, her brother's friend.

Rather than Kinsella using Linus to pull Audrey from her anxiety and depression, she uses his character to help support Audrey with her wanting to feel better. This novel is about Audrey's journey to feeling better with the support of her boyfriend. She still has the ups and downs and I'm glad the story was written in this way.

The book started off quite slow. I'm still not sure why the first 100 or so pages focused on the feud between her brother, Frank, and her mum. Personally, I would have preferred to read about the experiences that caused Audrey's anxiety and depression as these are mentioned in the book but not fully explored.

WOW! Haas does it again!!

I had to sit and think carefully about rating this book. I loved every page of this novel, but there was a part of me that felt that Dangerous Girls was better. Then I realised that actually, they are both flipping fantastic books that need to be acknowledged and loved separately!

This is such a dark, complex and intriguing story. I love that we start out by knowing the main details. A fire, a stabbing, a dead body and Chloe. The question throughout the novel is 'What the hell actually happened here?' and the novel does not let you down!! The characters are wonderfully complex, the story is perfectly written, the story twists and turns constantly.

Another book I just couldn't put down! I'm 100% confident that I would read anything Haas publishes. Mystery books weren't really big on my agenda until I read these two, now I'm desperate for more! Amazing!

Let me start by saying WOW!! This is the best book I've read so far this year and I am so glad that I did. It had me totally captured from beginning to end, I desperately wanted to know how this complex and dark story would conclude and I was not disappointed!

I love the way Haas has written this novel. Moving back and forth along the timeline to discover all the details of Anna and Elise's friendship, the trial, life in prison, this novel really covers everything. I was in total suspense throughout and constantly trying to figure out who the killer was. I became totally invested in the characters and could not put this book down!

As for the ending, WOW!!! I was taken totally by surprised and I love it!

Can't wait to read "Dangerous Boys" from Haas next.

I really enjoyed reading this book, once I picked it up it was fairly difficult to put it down again. The plot was great. Instead of being a tearjerker about the emotional journey of a cancer suffering teen (I have no problem with these books), this story focuses mainly on Greg's point of view ('friend' of cancer sufferer Rachel). He is very cynical, completely sarcastic and does not mess around with words. It's different from other books I've read and it genuinely did make me laugh at times. For me, I couldn't rate it higher as I just didn't feel a connection with the characters in the book at all. I don't know why, I wanted to, but I just couldn't.

I recommend this book if you're looking for a good laugh, but be aware that the books contains a fair amount of swearing.

Wow. This novel is absolutely breathtaking. It is easily one of the most beautifully written pieces of literature I have read in a long time. The characters are written so delicately and intricately that I felt completely and totally invested in them. This book is an emotional rollercoaster that really tugs at the heart strings.

A short and easy read, which went down very well as I was in Italy at the time of reading this. This novel provides an in depth look into sibling relationships. There are some beautiful moments in this book which anyone with a sibling can relate to. However, I still feel slightly like I wanted more to happen.
