I loved it! The eerie atmosphere was everything. I know some people didn’t like how little it explained, but for me, that only added to the mystery. I’m so intrigued to see where the story goes next, and I can’t wait to continue the series!

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The concept and plot were unique and intriguing and I found all the characters very likeable.
That being said, the book felt a bit too long for me. It got repetitive at times with plot points and emotions.
Honestly, I was close to DNFing around 90%, as I felt like I knew where it was going and just wanted it to wrap up. 😬 I think I would’ve preferred less of Henry’s POV and fewer of Addie’s memories. It slowed the pacing down quite a bit.

✅ Beautiful, poetic prose
✅ So many gorgeous quotes—perfect for annotating!
✅ Short book: I love to see what can be accomplished in such a short story
❌ The world-building was mostly told rather than shown
❌ The ending felt a little rushed
❌ I agree with other reviews saying both agents' voices were a bit too similar, making it tricky to remember whose POV you're reading
Overall, a unique and lyrical read that won’t be for everyone, but I’m glad I picked it up!

I went in knowing little about Lisa Marie Presley’s life. Hearing her story told from her own perspective and complemented by her daughter Riley’s voice was such a unique and heartfelt touch. 💕 I loved the layout of the book with their alternating perspectives.

I wish they would've explained more about the actual plot but loved the portrayal of relationships and grief

Loved that they are reading the audiobook themselves.
Some chapters resonated with me more than others, but overall, it was an enjoyable listen.

As a huge fan of dystopian fiction, I had high hopes for this one. While the concept of a totalitarian beehive intrigued me, I found myself wishing the story delved deeper into the oppressive regime rather than shifting focus elsewhere. The depiction of the ultimate goal being motherhood didn’t sit well with me, though I understand it ties to bee biology.
Some parts left me puzzled—might just be my limited knowledge of bees, but certain events felt weird.

The audio production was incredible! The podcast sections were created as a "proper" podcast, which made the experience so immersive.
That said, I'm unsure how I’d feel about this story in a physical book format. The audiobook production definitely elevated the experience!

It was definitely a tough read—both because of the subject matter and the writing itself. 😅 The technical language and long sentences were challenging at times (especially during those late-night reading sessions when my brain was half-asleep).
That said, I found it incredibly thought-provoking and insightful. 🤔💡 Each chapter ends with a helpful summary, an action, and reflective questions, which I really appreciated. Especially the radical self-care plan at the end looks like something people would really benefit from.

I live in England but I'm not from here so I didn't get all the references.
