“Family isn’t who we live with but those we would die for.”
Peaky Blinders with vampires & a heist story at its core.
With a slow moving plot, it took me a while to get into but the set up in the beginning and the ending really came together for me. The middle/heist wasn’t my favorite part, but I think the ending was shocking enough to have me anxious to get the sequel in my hands!! This story also had great commentary on colonialism which I think needs to be applauded.
I thought the romantic relationships were underdeveloped, but my boy Jin with his touch her & 💀 energy was the star of the show!!
Also the spicy things that were said in here 👀 I’d say it was unexpected but welcomed nonetheless lol.
Graphic: Blood, Death of parent, Colonisation

“I had fallen so hard, I wasn’t even trying to get up.”
Imagine hiring someone to crash your wedding because your betrothed is a cheater, only to become friends with said wedding crasher who eventually asks you to join him on his professional endeavors?? If that sounds intriguing, you’re going to want to pick this up!!
Max & Sophie had a great friendship foundation that later translated into magnetic chemistry 🥵
Prior to 2024, I’ve read z e r o books by this author, and now I’m 4.5 LP books deep. I don’t foresee myself disliking any of her stories at this point because these books just don’t miss! This was so funny, swoony, & romantic.

It’s rare for me to give thrillers 5 stars, but this one kept me engaged the whole way through & I was absolutely r i v e t e d! The podcast element really elevated the story for me, especially listening to the audiobook alongside the physical copy.
Trying to solve the case before Lucy regained her memory from that fateful night of her best friend’s murder had me hooked. I couldn’t stop reading!! Amy Tintera really got me with how this unraveled because I did not suspect the individual responsible for the crime. I even teared up in the end with the beauty of female friendships and our fierce protective nature over one another.
***There are definitely some topics that could be triggering such as domestic abuse & infidelity, so be please be gentle with yourself before giving it a go.
✨pick this thriller up if you enjoy—
~ a podcast element
~ a fast + engaging read
~ dual timelines
~ a dash of romance
~ a whodunnit to keep you on the edge of your seat

“That falling-off-a-building feeling the first time you kiss someone is just perfection.”
This was such a good time of a read! A one night stand turns into a friends to lovers x fake dating x one bed situation & I ate it up! Lynn is such a Jane Austen stan with all the hints of her various works within her own stories. The Mr. Darcy mentions get me every. single. time.
Not only did I love the romance (other than the third act breakup) but it was SO damn funny! If you’re needing a good laugh and want an actual RomCom, look no further than this one friends💖
***The Love Wager can be read as a standalone but will spoil the HEA of Mr. Wrong Number

What a swashbucklin' fun adventure story!
I don't read middle grade books often, but when I do I always enjoy myself. It's great to be reminded of the sense of childlike wonder & whimsy within these stories. I loved it!

This novella was funny, sëxy, & thrilling which is the perfect combination. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I quite liked this genre bending tale fused with mythology and a murder mystery wrapped in a neat little bow.
I will definitely be checking out other books by this author!

Imagine having luck SO bad after getting laid off from your job that while trying to soothe your aching heart by burning your exes things on the balcony, the whole building ends up catching fire and now you have to move in with your brother and his best friend! The crazy thing is, that's not the worst of it for our FMC, Olivia. On a constant string of bad luck, things start to turn around when Olivia gets a spicy text from a random number and thus begins an anonymous flirty friendship with Mr. Wrong Number.
Lynn Painter serves up a quick, funny, & a tiny bit naughty read with this one! Olivia got on my nerves on more than one occasion by not taking responsibility for any of her own actions, but the mmc also annoyed me for the exact same reason at times throughout the story.
It's not a new favorite book but it was a fun time regardless.
