An introspective exploration of belonging, complex familial bonds, and coming of age through the lens of a teenage boy. It also serves as a reminder that you never know what someone is going through, no matter what your perception is. This is definitely a story worth reading!

I am blown away yet again by Kennedy Ryan’s storytelling. The authors note alone had me in tears because she opened up about her life, and how that ties into this story is just 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹.
This Could Be Us is more than your typical romance. It’s a redemption arc. A beautiful journey of self love & self discovery after divorce. More than that, it’s Sol’s journey through motherhood, building a business, and leaning on the strength of one’s friends during the hard times.
JUDAH CROSS
As Salt-N-Pepa said, “𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘯."
Judah is a glaring 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 flag and deserves all the flowers for allowing Soledad the time to nourish her self love & healing journey. The instant chemistry held true and sizzled during its slow burn ascent. Sol & Judah together caused literal sparks to leap off of the pages! I swear it.
I also appreciate the incorporation of recipes of food woven into the story that can be found in the back of the book itself. That extra touch just turns a great book, into exceptional!

”Last night, he’d let down his guard. Last night, I’d fallen asleep in his arms. And last night, I’d stopped pretending I wasn’t in love with my husband.”
I enjoyed this much more than book 1 in this series, so I’m happy about that.
This was a marriage of convenience, motorcycle club, romantic suspense story with secrets & mysteries galore! There’s something about watching two people in a marriage of convenience fall for each other that makes my heart go pitter patter pitter patter💞
I even teared up at one part which took me by surprise, but I should know better by now.
If you’re looking for a series to devour, give this one a try! (Start with Steel King)

“The rest of the world disappeared as I looked at her.”
UGHHH. The absolute perfection of having Wes’ POV during the prom scene was a gift Lynn Painter bestowed upon us, and for that she deserves all the forehead kisses. 😚😚
I was laughing, kicking my feet, and having a good ol’ time getting to relive just a little bit of Better Than The Movies. I loved every second of it!
I was bored throughout this one, but hopefully it works for others.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first book, but I’m still excited to continue the journey with this growing group of misfits & outcasts.

“Can you not see that I’m starving to death for you?”
When aspiring pro hockey player Sumner needs a quick fix before his work visa expires, his teammates conspire to have him marry his buddies sister, Britta. She has crushed on Sumner since meeting him and is open to the arrangement if he pays her enough to gain co-ownership of the bar she currently works at.
As we see the two grow closer in their marriage of convenience, the sparks each envisioned in the relationship start to develop.
I really enjoyed this quick little audiobook! For being a novella, I thought the friends to lovers was pretty fleshed out and enjoyed Sumner’s family visit for his birthday. They were welcoming Britta to the family with open arms & were supportive of their relationship.
Sumner was a little smitten gem. He was so sweet and reassuring to Britta after learning about her family history. He didn’t pressure her into anything but allowed her to form her own informed decisions.
Britta, understandably so, is guarded and not a relationship girlie due to her father’s abandonment when she was young. She handled her half brother Bryce’s situation with grace and I loved getting snippets of their mended bond.
Overall this was a quick, fun & spicy time from Tessa Bailey. I enjoyed it and think you should definitely give it a try if you’re wanting a good time!
