Charlie encounters animals that have been illegally smuggled away from their homes, and he determines to help them find their way back to their native forests. The panda goes back to the bamboo forest, the koala prefers a eucalyptus tree, the lemur finds a home in the spiny forest of Madagascar, and the sloth loves the heat of a tropical rainforest. There is even an otter who prefers the kelp forest underwater!

This book includes factoids about all types of forests. It has illustrations showing amazing animals and birds that live in each location. We learn about all the beautiful trees in each type of forest, and how the animals survive harsh climates.

I really liked the illustrations. The art style is soft and cartoony, and all the little animals are so cute! Each scene has dozens of animals and plants in the background, and they are all labeled so you can learn about them.

The pages of this book are thick, but not so thick as a board book. I like that the factoids are presented in little boxes around the page, making it easy to read.

Children in the illustrations follow the movements of a little bunny and a snake to do calming yoga poses. They reach and stretch and slowly breathing in and out.

The illustrations are really cute with bright colors! I wish that the illustrations were a little more definite to show the yoga poses more clearly. It's not always obvious what movements you are supposed to make. The text does a good job of explaining the poses, but it would be easier if the artwork was clearer.

I really appreciated that the children in the illustrations are diverse and from many races. They have glasses, different hairstyles, and one little girl has some sort of medical respirator.

I did not like that after only 6 pages the focus of the book changed from the bunny to a snake. I am afraid of snakes, so that did NOT make me calm. I understand that the yoga poses they were doing would match the movements of a slithery snake, but there are many people who are afraid of snakes. Doesn't seem like a good choice for a book that is supposed to calm the reader. And there is no indication on the cover or description that alerts you that there are snakes in the book before you purchase it. If you don't mind snakes, then I guess it wouldn't matter though.

Rosa plays all types of sports with her friends in this board book. She plays soccer, football, and baseball. Rosa goes bowling, throws a ball for her dogs to fetch, and plays basketball with her friend who is in a wheelchair.

This board book is so adorable! The illustrations are really cute and colorful. Sweet little Rosa has a lot of fun playing and learning. It's a simple story that will appeal to little readers, especially if they love sports as much as Rosa does.

I love that this book is bilingual with Spanish and English text on the page! It makes it so easy to read and share both languages with children.

Rosa rides her scooter around with her friends. She falls down once or twice and is glad that she wore her helmet. She learns to go down a ramp on her scooter, and has races with her friends. She even gives her toy dinosaurs a ride on the scooter.

Unicorns might be filled with jelly beans or popcorn. Are their manes "made of marshmallow"? Are "their horns filled with butterflies"? At the end of the book, we find out the truth about unicorns and their magic, as a pop-up unicorn prances across the page.

I think it's so cute that the unicorn's mane on the cover is made of actual string. It's so pretty! It's little details like that which make this book so special. There is glitter on the cover too.

I love the sweet illustrations! The artwork is colorful and bright, with all sorts of cute hearts and stars in the background. The unicorns are all different colors, and there are little bunnies and foxes and birds playing with them.

This whole book is adorable!

¡Tan lindo!

The witch hates her blue hair. She feels that it makes her less witchy. So she determines to kidnap a child to prove that she is truly a terrifying and thoroughly evil witch. She tries to kidnap a little boy named Nicholas at the playground, but the boy keeps asking "Why?" and the witch has to explain why she wants to kidnap him. Nicholas shows her a better way to be more herself instead of conforming to expectations.

This is such a cute book! I liked the positive messages about being yourself and just doing what you like instead of always doing what others expect from you. The witch learns that you don't have to prove yourself to anyone. I love how she goes through this personal journey to accept herself and learn to love her blue hair.

I liked the illustrations. Every page is full of bright colors and funny scenes! The witch has a black cat and two rats that get up to mischief in the background. So cute!

Two flies fight over who gets to keep a pile of dog poop. They have a huge battle, fighting and throwing poop at each other, until a gardener accidently steps in the poop and the two flies end up in the hospital where they learn to be friends.

I did not like the story. The subject was just nasty and made me a little nauseated. But I did like that the flies became friends at the end.
The illustrations are not that great, and I didn't like the buggy eyes of the flies. Boys or people who don't mind gross things would probably like this book just fine. Maybe my sensibilities are too keen to enjoy something like this.

Berta hides all her emotions into color-coded boxes. Everything in her life is organized by separated color. She is always well-behaved, and never gets excited. But when she is misunderstood and bullied and ignored, her temper starts to flair, and she realizes that she can't keep hiding her feelings. She starts to express herself more freely and learns to be okay with difficult emotions and embrace happiness.

I'm not really sure what to think about this book. I don't know if Berta is just weird, or if she is maybe on the autistic spectrum, or if her behavior is a metaphor for something else.

At the end of the book, Berta's feelings become beautiful monsters that she draws with all the colors mixed together (instead of keeping the colors separate like she used to.) Are the monsters just representative of her emotions, or is it something else? I don't really understand this book.

Plus this book seems to equate being organized and tidy with being repressed in some way. As if you have to be messy to be expressive. That doesn't make sense.

I love the bright illustrations. Every page is sparking with color. Berta's facial expressions are very emotive and I like the design of the scenes.

When the babies get dirty, it's time for a bath. Little elephants get splashed with water from their parent elephant's trunk. Parent lions lick the fur of the lion cubs to get them clean. And human babies have a bubble bath!

I love the cute artwork in this book! Every page is so colorful and fun. This would make the perfect gift for little babies and toddlers!

The book really does appear to be indestructible. I tried tearing one of the pages, and it wouldn't tear, although it crinkled up a little. I was surprised that the pages are so thin. This is NOT a board book. The pages are made of some kind of thick fiber, and there is no cover or spine. The pages are sewn together into a thin booklet. No wonder they say that babies could chew on it, and it is washable. Without a cover for babies to chew on, and no spine to get torn, the book really is indestructible!
