not gonna rate this one since i think the audio really impacted the read for me.. it was just So Dramatic And Weirdly Slow !! ugh. liked the story and the characters (want to see more of blythe and apparently she gets her own book) so i may continue the trilogy at some point! with my eyeballs though.

i love this book so much i can't even SPEAK right now. 

gorgeous gorgeous book about loss and love and friendship and being brave and being honest with yourself and also fred the dog! both bennet and henry are such layered, real and endearing characters - plus their chemistry and banter is amazing - that give the story so much life. i was really rooting for them, sometimes despite the secondhand embarrassment. i love how london sperry doesn't shy away from their flaws or mistakes and shows you how hard they try and how much they love. veeeery excited to reread on audio (i love u alex finke)!!

cute and fun! loved the big cast of characters. the mystery was the weakest part for me though. thanks to netgalley and harper teen for the earc!

after thinking on it more, this was disappointing. i liked certain aspects and dusty's character, but much of the romance and cam's character fell flat. 

thank you to netgalley and berkley for the earc! this was soooo stressful for me lol but i always love the intense emotions of a beth o'leary book! just maybe not so much of the near-death experiences .. 

i very quickly realized that the romance is NOOTTTTT the main plot point here and adjusted my expectations, which helped as i kept reading. to me, this is more about friendship and how our lives change in so many ways but stay the same in others — not romance. which is fine! just don’t market it as a romance book and put a romance cover on it!! the cover slays but still!! honestly this was an awesome movie but not the best book. that makes sense in my head idk. also natalie definitely was in love with gabby and needed to work that out??? like girl get a therapist and a private journal instead of publishing your most insane and unfounded thoughts about her fiancé DAAAAMN

THIS IS SO SAD i need to rewatch the end of secret of wings to remember they do get a happy ending far in the future. really enjoyed this!! the pacing and climactic impact got a bit lost around the height of the story, but the emotions and characters are the best part of this book. 

very fun and adventurous!! i loved the vibes. would not recommend this if you’re looking for a lot of character study and development though. and the magic system is so confusing but i didn’t put much pressure on it.
