While I enjoyed the book, I thought the ending was a little weak. Maybe this first book still a foundation in which the rest of the series can build upon. Either way, this first book interested me enough to continue with the series.

A fun plucky heroine in the midst of 1920s Gangster Chicago; girl journalists, mysteries, and murder set the stage for a fun read. Recommended for older elementary readers.
