Midlife Zombie Hunter was an intense zombie tale. Shannon Mayer writes such complex plots and characters. Bree’s life keeps getting more and more complicated and I can’t help but devour her story to see how she deals with everything thrown her way.I felt for Bree as her relationships with her friends changed. The clues we learn about the dark counsel are surprising. I’m in love with the Forty Proof series!

Midnight Bounty Hunter was such a fun read. I absolutely loved Breena! As I’ve been getting older, it’s been nice to read about older women taking charge of their lives. Shannon Mayer pulled me in with quirky characters, hot sexual tension, and an adventurous plot. I can’t wait to see what trouble Breena finds herself in next and how she’ll solve it.

I love finding new paranormal authors who write strong heroines! I will definitely be reading more of The Forty Proof Series by Shannon Mayer

Assassins Anonymous by Rob Hart was a thrilling and adventurous story about a reformed assassin whose past comes back for him. I couldn't put this book down! I was intrigued by the world and interesting characters. I couldn't help but root for Mark to not break his "sobriety" while trying to figure out who was threatening him and those around him. The action was well written! I appreciated the elements of found family and being able to redeem oneself. The jumping between past and present was done well, to help you better understand Mark and the situations that he was finding himself in. This was exactly the assassin type of book that I was hoping it would be and I enjoyed every second of Assassins Anonymous!
