Bodyguard hit many of the things I look for in a romance, in just 80 pages. The tension between characters was well developed. Alex and Reynolds had several steamy scenes. I also loved that Reynolds helped Alex to be independent and encouraged her strengths. The big scene where Reynolds is protecting Alex was filled with suspense. I was curious about what was up with the Silent Butcher Pack and their motives. I would have felt really satisfied if there had been one more scene of Reynolds protecting Alex, since this is a bodyguard romance. I was intrigued by this shifter world and plan to read more from Keira Blackwood.
Book Lovers by Emily Henry was an exquisitely written romance! The humor, banter, and plot were so amazing. I loved the dialogue between Nora and Charlie! The way they each support the other was so well balanced. I can't get over how much I loved this book!
The Boss by Melanie Moreland was an engaging and unique read. I loved how it’s like a reverse mafia group. The way that Matteo first saves Evie with a marriage of convenience sets the stage for the whole story in such a good way. Matteo is the epitome of protective savior. His need to keep Evie safe was commendable, but allowed for conflict and character growth. The traumas that Evie went through were tough and made me really feel for her. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
