I was glad that Sam Marino wrote a quick blurb in the beginning of her book about things that I was going to encounter while reading. Dark Romances are not really something that I enjoy. This one ended up not being quite so dark for the whole thing, which helped. I did feel like Autumn was a bit too accepting too early in the story of Jasper. I did have to remind myself it is a fantasy tale and to not take it super seriously otherwise I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it. I thought Jasper’s family were interesting and that the town that his mom lives in sounded super quaint! I loved how Autumn slowly broke down Jasper’s fortified walls. The scene where they build a snowman was adorable and I loved that Jasper stole the toy red truck for Autumn. I loved how Jasper dealt with Autumn’s jerk ex-boyfriend. If you are looking for a dark turns sweet holiday romance, then this book will do the trick.

I absolutely loved the To Catch A Thief series! Hot Pursuit has my favorite meet cute of all time. Stolen Goods was such a flirty fun forced proximity romance. Off The Grid has such a surprising twist for how it connected to the other two stories. I couldn't get enough of this story and devoured each book one right after the other. I've got a thing for FBI / undercover tropes and this series hit all the right notes with me. You can't go wrong with this series!

Katerina Martinez has written a unique magical world. Izzy is a strong willed heroine who is loyal with a complex past and future. She has a small, but diverse group of friends who all distinctive. The mythology behind mages was interesting and I wanted to know more. The predicament that Izzy finds herself in kept me wondering what she would do next. The imagery was written really well and I loved it.

I truly enjoyed this story and love the way that Katerina Martinez writes. I give Heart of The Thief five out of five stars.

The King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair is a heated, angsty vampire romance and I was there for all of it! The enemies to lovers hit so many great points, with more to come I’m sure in the proceeding books. The push and pull between Adrian and Isolde was *chef kiss* and I loved every second. The twist about what Adrian is keeping from Isolde has me wondering what will happen in the next books. The intimate scenes were steamy and filled with emotion. The vampires and world building in this book were amazing and I can’t wait to learn more about this universe in the next books!
