Max Monroe writes hilarious romance with swoony heroes! The comedy in this story is laugh out loud and you can’t help but to root for Harrison to show Raquel that he does truly love her, for herself. While Harrison is a drool worthy hero, Raquel just didn’t sit as well with me. I know pregnancy hormones can make people a bit different that they would normally act, but Raquel just seemed like someone not really trying to be a spoiled Hollywood Star. She also seemed to not really know how to manage her own life or to stand up for herself. Also the fact that she was a known virgin and everyone wanted to ask her about her about it, was just creepy (which I know was the point with the talk shows), but it was a bit hard to rationalize while I was reading.

I loved that we got to see the dinner scene when Raquel and her brother reunite. It was all I hoped it to be, plus I got some more of the yumminess that is Luca Weaver. I know that Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy and Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl are stand alone books, but I get giddy when an author has some universe crossover between books.

Overall, Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl was funny, had an amazing hero, and ended HEA.

Hot Pursuit by Kay Marie was such a flirty, adventurous read! I absolutely loved Jo. The way she teases Nate is great! I enjoyed how Nate had to struggle with viewing the world as black and white when it came to Jo. This book has one of my favorite meet cutes of all time. I had a great time reading this book and jumped right into book two.

Cluck Buddies by Theresa Leigh is everything I hoped it would be and more. The humor was on point. I loved Wesley’s puns! I really enjoyed how both Wesley and Jane’s flaws were so realistic and played into their conflicts during the story. Wesley has Dyslexia and Jane is an auditory learner (so she records things to remember them). I found it amazing that Wesley’s job was an elevator mechanic, because it just not a job that it talked about often. I loved Jane’s book club and how they all look out for each other. The intimate scenes between Jane and Wesley were fantastically steamy! Overall, this story had the humor, characters, intimacy, and romance that I find irresistible.

Lauren Landish created a fun workplace romantic comedy. While I enjoyed the story and the way that the characters meet-up with each other, it is not very realistic when it comes to workplace behavior or even public behavior. Keeping that in mind, I thought Elle’s character was a strong indepent woman, with a bit of a crazy side. I thought that Elle brought out the fun side to Colton and that his character has the most growth throughout the story. I did think that the end of The Dare was a bit unflushed out and could have expanded upon some of the ending scenes. If you are looking for a romantic comedy to escape into The Dare is one that I would dare you to read.

One Day Fiance by Lauren Landish was a riot! I loved every second and didn’t want to set this book down. Poppy’s humor and impulsive tendencies had me cracking up and wincing along with Connor. I was intrigued by Connor’s profession and wondered how he was going to extract himself so he could be with Poppy. I definitely did not see the twist at the end coming. One Day Fiance is now a top three favorite Lauren Landish book!

Cocky Roommate by Claire Kingsley was a witty and steamy forced proximity romance. Kendra and Weston have great sexual tension that eventually ignites into some very hot scenes. The progression from annoyance to love between these two was fun to read. I love how it was Kendra in this book helping Weston open his eyes to a better life.

I truly enjoyed Faking Mrs. Right and couldn’t wait for the next love adventure in the Dirty Martini Running Club. Hazel and Corban start of as enemies arguing over Corban’s claim to fame, cracking the code of love. Eventually, all their frustration and irritation transform into something more friendly and romantic as Hazel and Corban realize they have feelings other than anger for each other.

Claire Kingsley is one my favorite romance authors and I was smitten with Love According to Science. I couldn’t help but to fall in love with the easily distracted, but caring Corban or the too-smart-for-her-own-good, but loyal Hazel. The pace that their romance unfolds is well thought-out and the personalities and behaviors between the two are well matched. The romantic scenes are the perfect length. Corban and Hazel and my current favorite romance couple.

One of my other favorite things that Claire Kingsley does in her writing is to have character cameos from her other stories. I got a thrill out of spotting Ivy and William, and also getting to see characters from Faking Mrs. Right, like Shepard, in this story. I get a bit mushy seeing previously read characters return, even if only in passing. The use of Salishan Cellars as the venue for Everly's wedding was another wonderful addition to the world that Claire Kingsley has created for her characters.

Corban and Hazel’s are truly the perfect scientific pairing. I laughed, cried, mopped, and swooned right along with Hazel and Corban. The feels are strong in this story. I’d give Love According to Science five out of five stars.

Gravedigger by JC Jaye has been in my TBR pile for sometime. I'm so glad that I finally read it! I found the aspect of the Hero working in a cemetery to be unique and offered plenty of conflict opportunities. The slow burn between Casey and Clinton was fire! Clint's dirty talking was on point! I'd have loved a bit more background on Casey's life, but it isn't really necessary for the story. Overall, I enjoyed this story and the fire between Casey and Gravedigger!
