Coming Home by Melissa Grace was a fantastic final book in the Midnight in Dallas series. The way that Luca struggles and begins his healing process for his depression was hard-hitting and poignant. I appreciated how McKenzie wasn't just a light to his darkness, but had her own problems to work through as well. The supporting cast were great! I loved getting to see all the other band members and their families and how life had changed for each of them too. Overall, Coming Home was an amazing read that I couldn't put down.
The Wrong Kind of Compatible by Kadie Scott was a fun, flirty romantic comedy. I enjoyed every second of the banter between Cassie and Drew. The tension between these two built till when they finally get together, they set the bed on fire (not literally). FBI agent tropes, especially undercover, are one of my favorites and this story hit all the right notes for me.

Five Alarm Kiss by Angela Taylor was a sensual and fun read. I really enjoyed the layers to Jake's character and how he encourages Laurel to stay true to herself. The dates where Jake helps Laurel fulfill her things before 30 list were sweet and flirty. The intimate scenes were steamy. The chemistry between Laurel and Jake was hot. Overall, this was a great third installment in the Kiss Club series and I really enjoyed it!
Brimstone Inc’s whole premise is such a fun supernatural idea. I am in love with Abigail Owen’s Inferno Rising series, and am mad that I waited so long to read The Demigod Complex. The chemistry between Leia and Castor was so steamy and hot. I love that we didn’t have to watch Leia and Castor fall in love with each other, and only how they had to woo one another. I really enjoyed that Leia was a strong and fierce character and the background on how she lost her spring was interesting.
Another reason that I can’t get enough of Abigail Owen is how she creates a complex and captivating supernatural world set in the real world. As a native Coloradan, I found the aspects surrounding the Stanley Hotel and Estes Park to be accurate. I found the Greek mythology aspect to be fun and the other supernatural creatures to be just as enthralling as Castor and Leia. I was so excited to see that Marrok and Tala were the next couple in the Brimstone Inc. series because their chemistry was also smoking hot. I was very intrigued by Delilah. I hope that we get to learn more about her as the series progresses.
The only issue that I had with this book was that it was sometimes hard to tell when the point of view was shifting. It could be a bit jarring based on what had transpired in the paragraph before. Overall, I devoured this book story and loved that it had everything I could want in a paranormal romance even though it was a short story. I can’t wait to dig into the other Brimstone Inc. books!

Red by Kate Serine gave me some serious Once Upon A Time vibes. The big difference being that the Fairy Tale characters actually remember being Fairy Tales. I really enjoyed the premise of of this book and all the clues and suspense that went along with solving the mystery. I did struggle with Red and Nate’s relationship in the beginning. It just felt a bit forced, but as you get to know Nate more, the reasons for their strained relationship is revealed. The way that the Tales interact within the Here and Now and adapted was fun to see and the way that other literacy characters were introduced was engaging and unique. This was a creative way to retell many fairy tale characters.
